@ijnec Nothing is 100% safe. But you're more likely to get hurt than the camera if you fall. I've crashed plenty of times skiing with a camera and I've yet to hurt my camera :-)
yeah, share some pics mate! now 4/3rds on the serious shoots ey :-) 8 was convincing myself a small camera system was the way to go but something in my gut said go with a big dslr first. now i have a 60d with which i ijveated a 70-200 2.8II-OMG.....and the day that the mkIII comes out.....:-0
@CRANKYONE100 I already replied to someone else that I didn't actually take any pictures on that tour. But check my PhotographyREVIEW and Flickr galleries (Photo-John) and you'll find plenty of ski photos. Unfortunately, not much from this season since the snow here in Utah has been pretty poor so far :-(
@IRondestvedt Glad you like it. Now that I've got one done I can show it to all the pro photographers I know and start pumping them out. Anything you're interested in seeing? I am now taking requests :-)
Nice set up. Did you take any good pics? If so, wish you would have shared them. But thanks. It is cool to see what people carry and how they carry it.
@ar4216 Glad you enjoyed that video. I am planning to do another for my mountain bike camera pack. Unfortunately, I took zero pictures on this outing. It was mostly a training tour and I was running late and hurrying to get down before dark. If you check my gallery on PhotographyREVIEW or my Photo-John Flickr account you can see some of my ski photography, though.
Is it really safe so even though you fall while skiing, the camera will be safe? plz reply
