It's sad that this song, Dear Friend, and Swoon weren't on her newest album.... It's like her producers changed her sound. I still like the song on Breathing Underwater but they sound more generic then her normal sound. She should get back to recording songs like this

I think it has to do with the people that are working with her. If they let Marie come out with an acoustic album and it actually succeeds, it makes them look bad since they're supposed to be getting paid to add all these studio sounds and make her sound better. If you want the backing of a major label, you have to deal with having its employees feel like they need to contribute to the album.
