@Droopah1 Yes it will. The guided missile will destroy a scout and attack helicopter in ONE hit. The ECM is the only thing that can block it flares will do NOTHING against it. Although in the new patch those laser painted missiles can now be blocked by flares which I think is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, really inferred flares blocking a laser nuh uh not happening. well anyways if any of this laser painter, city, guided shell shit is confusing you feel free to ask.

That was rape man those guys didn't know what hit them. Because on Nosharh, we all know that the defending team has virtually no air support until like the last 2, so for you to get in on like the 1st or 2nd set of Mcoms is amazing.

I recently unlocked my guided rockets & I love them, you launch one & switch over to the main guns & you can fry up a tank like instantly.

here's some info, i've gone 31-0,42-1,40-1 on this same level in the scout choppers on x-box 360, if you guys don't know yet, if you manage to steal one of the US little birds, if you hover near their carrier over the landing pad that belongs to the chopper you are in, the enemy team has the option to spawn on it, but because you (the enemy) are inside the vehicle, they will spawn on the landing pad instead. easy way to get kills when you have them capped out. i call it the fountain of death.

@thetute59 he was using a guided missile as his weapon with a laser designator as his vehicle "perk." The guided missile can lock on to any laser designated vehicle, much like a javelin, which makes those 2 unlocks rather devastating when used together.

I've had this work the other way too, I flew in with the Lil Bird and lit up the enemy Tunguska and the driver crapped it and bailed, so my engineer bailed and stole it

Well, scout helicopters ARE anti- light vehicle and infantry specialists... like UH-60 from BFBC2.

And attack choppers are pretty much light vehicles, they can't really win against scouts.

Attack choppers are more like antitank choices.

@yugoboy17 He has Laser Painter in the first slot (it laser desgnates any vehicle your nose is pointing at), Flares in the second slot, and Guided Missile in the third slot (Guided Missile will lock on to any ground vehicle OR laser-designated target, so if he looks at an enemy helicopter it will get designated by the Laser Painter, then he can start to lock onto it with the Guided Missile)

@yugoboy17 Not exactly, the heat-seekers have 2 missiles per reload, whereas the guided only has 1, although a stronger one.

Honestly on a scout heli the chainguns are much more useful against air targets than the heat-seekers since everyone uses flares anyway, so it's a better idea to use the Guided Missile for tanks.

Kind of a waste of time locking on to air targets when you could be ripping them apart with your chainguns instead. I've even killed a few jets with the chainguns :P Very fun.

If someone locks into an aircraft with the CITV station on the tank or with the soflam, and you shoot them with thoes, the flares wont work then.
