I like the dedication they put into this game, like different character interactions and Fatal KOs. Some games are just satisfied with making everything generic. To top it off, it's based off of one of my favorite anime/manga.

I wish they'd make a US console port of this (no dubbing though lol).

I also wish that they've included Falco, Kaioh, that rib-stealing guy, etc. That rib stealer would have an awesome Fatal KO (steal most of your bones and you turn to a jelly-like mass lol).

@tgpgrimreaper They've done an awesome job with special intros and special fatal ko's but they've seriously improved some slow and weak characters, like Mamiya and Rei (who have incredible speed, although in the manga and anime were very slow, average fighters if one can say that, but in this game if you do an attack the same time they will strike first). The rib stealing guy is named Gunsho Kaiser (translated as General Kaiser in the anime, and Commander Kaiser in the manga).I'd love to see him

I would like to see Falco and Kaioh too, as well as Ein, but this game was based off Hokuto no ken 1, from Ken's first appearance up to his final battle with Raoh.

I wish they'd make a sequel to this game with HnK 2 characters as well as HnK 1 characters.

I think Jagi respects all of the older Hokuto brothers (Raoh, Toki).

He hates Kenshiro so much because not only is he the younger one and the better one, but he was chosen to be the successor. It was shown when he got that "stylish head wound" of his and when he manipulated those 2 kids into messing with Ken's head and emotions.

You gotta give it to Jagi. He's the master cerebral assassin. Any weak-willed mind would've snapped a long time ago.

This is a fighter.

A "beat em up" is like Final Fight. Sega Ages already made a Fist of the North star Beat em up, which was a remake of the old 80's arcade game. It wasnt good.

Second, there was an adventure game for the PS1 which was all cinematic 2D scenes. Not that great.

Finally, there was a 3D PS1 action adventure game called Hokuto no Ken Seiki Matsukyu Seishi Densetsu, which was decent.

So there hasnt been a good HnK fighter, is why they made this.

There is a PSP Hnk fighter coming out

Yeah shame. Its made by Interchannel, who mostly just publishes games, or makes visual novel/adventure titles.

The look of the game resembles the anime well with the cel shading, but the combo system and combo meter is lacking and unrefined.

Kenshiro unlocked after beating story mode twice.

Woulda been nicer if they just ported this arcade/PS2 fighter to the PSP.

Well i guess its cool if youve been watching the new show since it has those characters. Each o f them have 4 special attacks (by pressing L + O or X or R + O or X) & 2 supers activated by L + R & circle(1 super bar) or X (if you've built up 3 super bars. Like Kenshiro's Musou Tensei. Story mode (simple arcade style) VS CPU: Free Battle Survival Time Attack Practice Network Option You can do a launcher by up and O to try to juggle but it dont really let you combo that much

Anyway, it's not like I'm looking for game of the year. Just a nice, little timewaster. Sounds like an okay buy, if you're a fan. Thanks.

Today I watched the entire Raoh tv series on YT.

I was disappointed that it ends at 13 ep when Wiki said 26. Kenshiro never showed up or fought Raoh, was only shown in mystery flashbacks, and Amiba & Jagi never showed up either. Yet they're in this game. Also Toki & Uighur barely fought, we never learn what becomes of Ryuga.

So I guess this game is a successor of the anime which seems like it was stopped short.

And some of the supers are cool to watch

Probably. Actually SMOKDATWEED just uploaded ep 4 subbed a few days ago so maybe he'll upload the others. Anyways theres only up to ep 7 subbed and they skipped ep 6 for some weird reason. I think they mighta given up.

The Rei Fatality was excellent, as the Toki's special. Really a great game, standing true to the anime. :)

Yep, Jagi did know some Nanto Seiken. Although according to Kenshiro, it was rather crappy Nanto Seiken, lol. I love the sloppy stance and "puffed-out" animation on that Jagi super. :)

Sadly, I'm afraid not. The main Nanto fighters (Shin, Rei, Yuda, and Souther) are playable with the exception of Shuu. More than likely, if there's a sequel, Shuu will be featured.
