I think Jack's feelings for Gwen are just one of those "want what you can't have" things. Honestly, I think if he could have her he'd probably change his mind. It would be too weird if they were together, for both of them. I believe his heart belongs to Ianto. Because you see those sweet, tender moments with Ianto where he hints quite heavily at how much he loves him.

Are there rules for this "cutting in" stuff. I mean if someone asks you if you'd like to dance, you can either say yes, or politely refuse. But if someone asks "may i" and you don't want to dance with that person, then what do you do? Can you say no? or is it for your then dance partner to decide?
Not saying Jack would refuse i am just wondering in general :)
