  • Pretty girl!)

  • I was going along, really enjoying these videos and then you stopped numbering them! I'm all over the place now. I've seen the body on the car, then I've seen you put the body on the car, then I've seen you build the differential. Ve mus half roolsth! Do you have these sequenced somewhere on your site? I drove a mutt '66 GTO back in the 80's that was in way worse shape than the one you got. I don't think there were two pieces of metal the same color under the rusty black top coat. Miss that car!

  • I've got a 1984 Bronco that I'm wanting to two tone. The inset of it will be silver with the rest (top and bottom) being black with a red stripe (approximately 1/2 inch) to seperate the colors. This is my first two tone paint job. Could you tell me how you would lay each color down without having any overlap? Thanks!

  • what's that? You sprayed first the black and after the red on the body.

But you sprayed first the red and second the black on the panels.

    Do you mind it's good?

  • FUCK my life :/ primer is for the tunning phase :p

  • if they threw some pearl or flake in the red it wood be fuckin NASTY!!!!!

  • I have a question, when doing a 2 tone paint job how do you level the paint when pulling off the tape? I sanded the stripe down where the paint meets but it dulled the paint and I had to paint back over it, and I just left it as is. Any suggestions?

  • Girl reminds me of Sandra Bullock.....siiighhhhh

  • I enjoy V8TV vids. Wish I could get this girl to help me on my Chevy project.

  • watch out, cuz my dad got asthma and he thinks its from painting motorcycles. make sure u dont inhale this stuff

  • hope ure hands are clean..

  • When you paint a 2-tone, do you always get a ridge between the two colours? Is it the clear coat that normally smooths that over?

  • So the black was sprayed first, then masking with blue and yellow tape was done, then the red was sprayed? i ask because i dont know anything about painting, Thanks.

  • You can do the color in any order as you seen the fender and door were red the dark grey.

As for the tape the blue is for the fine line and the yellow tape will grab the blue tape good but not the painted surface below it. The blue tape must come off soon tho or it may grab the paint and pull it off, BAD. Moast tape of this kind can be left on over night. If Paint is less than month old leaving tape on more than 12 hr is bad

  • Thank you for the reply, im getting ready to paint my motorcycle fairings, and two peaces of that kit will be two tone, white and black. Once again Thanks.

  • man that color combo is too nice to not clear coat, you guys are too gay with cars!! clear it.

  • We're pretty "straight" with cars. The car is still going to get a base /clear color scheme soon.

  • TOO GAY?

Please listen to the man tell you it is a rough paint job done for fun

  • did you guys even use a clear coat?

  • Hey guys, since it seems like you know what you are doing, do you think you could tell me how to paint my car? I want it to be a glossy black-I want to do all the painting and body work myself-and I want to do it for cheap. I have no clue what I'm doing! Thanks! If you wan't you can just send me a private message!

  • I can help if they do not have time.

    prep prep prep

Black covers very good but shows every detail you missed. sanding groves wave in body ever so little a screw up at all so black is very hard to prep the car for.

Where white does not cover good but hides imperfections.

so with your black it must be very flat smoth no more than 400 Grit final sanding.

Put a lot of coats on no worry about runs they are easy to fix. Lite coats for first 1 to where it is just tacky on the tape the 2 3 4 5 dry

  • Just send me email for help Bookster2771 @ aol

I am not the best at all but can help you along the way.

    Good luck

  • Not really, Randall... the thing that got us was the 2-tone on the fender was off about 3/16" from the body, so we made the stripe about 1/4" and it all worked out perfectly!

  • You're not fudging things with that pin stripe now, are you????????
