@TheSammywammypoo what mariachi were you in? or were you just in the audience? :) A couple of people from my group had to leave early because we had another competition to go to, so some of us didn't stay for the workshops.

@DullRio im in the tx state youth mariachi high school group but we didnt compete since tx state was hosting the competition.

@TheSammywammypoo From what i know, our male trumpet player is going to tx state. we have a violin going to UTSA. a trumpet going to our junior college. a vihuela going to John Hopkins. and i'm going to UNT.

@TheSammywammypoo Thanks, we won last year in San Marcos. But this year we got 2nd place. At least we got Best Trumpets and Best Armonia :)

The male trumpet player has an amazing voice. Just draws you in :D
