the farther you get from the instrument the more you will get the Doppler effect on it. it will change the pitch in other words. For recording get as close to the sound recording device. This is because you make use of the inverse law and thus get a great sounding recording...thanks I love the fact that you had the courage to play on the internet with all the trolls out there lol
@NeverMindBird Only if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Tabs would work fine if it would be easier for you. STL Ocarina has a handy tab composer. But again, only if it wouldn't be too much trouble. In any case, thank you. :)
I know nothing about ocarinas, not even if they're tuned chromatically, so this may be a stupid comment, but.. :3 When you play the first "Pangur ban" part, you're sharp on the low note.. You're playing G-F-E-F-G, when it should be G-F-D#-F-G. Actually, I think the D# is a quarter note and there's no second F in there at all, but it sounds fine if you play it as all eighth notes :3 The last note is octaved too high, but that's probably from limitations.
@LeopardxGuitar There is, in fact, to low G offered on this particular ocarina. And I was playing a D#, but the ocarina is probably not pitch perfect, nor the camera microphone adapt at doing the music justice.
@NeverMindBird Yeah, I've been there. The Florentine Tenor is what I want, but I just can't afford it. Economy=no job ya know? So I'm trying to eventually build up enough to get it. Out of curiosity, have you had a problem with your subholes? I've heard some do.
awesome! :)

I've been wanting to play this song myself. May I ask where you got the sheet music for it?

@flutterpony I figured this song out by ear. I could try to write it out, if you'd like.
