If you watch the film "death on a factory farm", the judicial system even goes to call the 5-minute hanging of a sow from a forklift as a "legal" and justifiable means for the treatment of an animal. The person who took the video spent their time taking it so that americans can be aware of what is going on, and of what is acceptable on these farms.

Rules or not I won't be farming like this any time soon. As farmers we don't have control over the transport companies and meat companies once animals leave the gate, but I can be fined if I send an animal unfit to make that final trip.
