Ofcourse there is competition going on. But america isnt even in the game. I can name 60-70 top end GT cars, hypercars, supercars right now and only 4-5 of them are from outside Europe. Instead of quality performance cars there are tuneshop jobs, racecars with numberplates and kit-cars with corvette engines. Why USA dont step up and make a single supercar is a mystery to me.
And with almost half the wieght of a Bugatti Veyron SS , This "CONCEPT" might be the worlds first "flying car" as soon as it got up to the same speeds that the Veyron SS does. However Ive been to several actual supercar factories and at the Koenigsegg factory in Sweden forexample where they produce one of the top 2-3 hypercars in the world. They told me there is nothing that those 11 people can do that forexample GM cant mass produce at a tenth of the cost with all their manpower. If they were at all interested in supercars.. But they arent. So they dont.
This isnt about who can and cant make a supercar. Ofcourse america CAN make good cars. They put 2 more or less working cars on Mars for christs sakes. There should be no reason to fail at cars on this planet. After all... Its not rocket science is it. Now that forexample GM has been bankrupt and hit the reset button. Nothing prevents them from re-emerging as a quality brand except their determination not to. USA simply dont see the point of upper class, quality cars.

No bars held, no corners cut, no expense too big. I think youll have to agree that never happened. And its not just hypercars and supercars for the rich that USA never made. In Europe when people get tired of working for big car companies. They quit and form smaller niche car companies. Most fail bit there are currently around 50-60 available supercar choices out of Europe. While in USA people start tuneshops instead. Some recieve supercar status for simply tuning Mustangs, Corvettes and Vipers. With all those hundreds of thousands of recently unemployed car workers out there. Why does NOBODY start up something new is a mystery to me.
I would be the first to congratulate if they actually made the real thing. SSC, Dagger GT, Hennessey Venom and whatever else there is. As you say, they had very clear tactic about wanting their customers to buy another one whithin 3-5 years. And that would have worked perfectly fine if it werent for foreign cars lasting alot longer. American "supercars" are a joke dude. Vector, Saleen, Mosler, SSC and.... thats the entire list I believe. All of them fit an enormous engine onto a steel tube chassis as seen in racecars since the 60s, all use prefab racecar parts, all shout best in the wooorld, sell 20 cars and go bankrupt while wondering why their potential customers buy a Ferrari instead. The home-built SSC kitcar sold 10 cars mostly to crazy arabs. Not even americans bought it even with a wooorld record to its name.
I call the SSC a kitcar. Not because it comes in a box and you need to build it yourself but because they used to make Lamborghini Diablo replica kits. And amazingly they based their SSC Aero on that very lambo kit. Which is why it has all the proportions of a 90s Diablo except its good looks. Most of the parts in the car is lifted out of other cars. There is no way in hell they had the budget to make anything themselves. The cars are built in a shed behind Shelbys house with some friends.
Its never been roadtested. Nobody ever saw it do anything. They let TopGear drive it and they werent impressed. In the interview even the SSC owner refers to it as "kitcar quality" In a way its sad.. No true facts ? Search for SSC Aero in google. You will see pictures of every single car. Which is around 10-12 since 2007. Thats not even enough sales to pay your staff. Thats simply not a viable business. Also there were scandals and lawsuits when SSC lied about having 20 or so orders for cars that never exsisted inorder to seem more attractive to potential investors. Go to Kitcars dot com and search for "Lamborghini inspired vehicles" with some effort you will find them with address and all.

The Barabus TKR which was touted the new rocket is just now being produced after 10 yrs and only because the company was bought out. Keating is pouring his own money to finance it. Hence the new name Keating - Barabus. So unless some wealthy playboy or mogul gets the itch to put his name on a car like Jarrod Shelby this wont fly. Designers need backers or it remains just that, a dream on paper.

Ofcourse there is competition going on. But america isnt even in the game. I can name 60-70 top end GT cars, hypercars, supercars right now and only 4-5 of them are from outside Europe. Its pretty onesided. While america instead has their wild claims and patriotic hype. Instead of quality performance cars there are tuneshop jobs, racecars with numberplates and kit-cars with corvette engines. Why USA dont step up and make a single supercar is a mystery to me.

And with almost half the wieght of a Bugatti Veyron SS , This "CONCEPT" might be the worlds first "flying car" as soon as it got up to the same speeds that the Veyron SS does. I can literally just sit and tear this "CONCEPT" a new asshole. Physics flat out will not let this "CONCEPT" do what the Dagger GT people claim. That windshield is the only thing on that car working to give the car any downforce, more then likely, the windshield is going to rip in half, even if they make it a hard top, do to the lack of downforce that thing is gonna go airborn and also with the same problem, There is no way in hell its gonna get 0-60 in 1.2 secs because of NO DOWNFORCE, with the 40-60 weight distrobution and no down force, this car is gonna be doing backflips in no time!!

I'm actually amazed at all the critics and bashers. Well if any of you can do any better lets see it. This car has made numerous articles. The Aero Veyron and Scorpion were just a pipe dream too. Instead of the personal attacks.. Lets face it. When did USA ever produce a modern, proper supercar.
However Ive been to several actual supercar factories and at the Koenigsegg factory in Sweden forexample where they produce one of the top 2-3 hypercars in the world. They told me there is nothing that those 11 people can do that forexample GM cant mass produce at a tenth of the cost with all their manpower. If they were at all interested in supercars.. But they arent. So they dont.

This isnt about who can and cant make a supercar. Ofcourse america CAN make good cars. They put 2 more or less working cars on Mars for christs sakes. There should be no reason to fail at cars on this planet. After all... Its not rocket science is it. Now that forexample GM has been bankrupt and hit the reset button. Nothing prevents them from re-emerging as a quality brand except their determination not to. USA simply dont see the point of upper class, quality cars.

Even if a company fails but had good intentions and creativity it still has an impact on the next designer or engineer to utilize what works. Think outside the box don't stuff your head in it. See that wasnt so hard was it. Once you put the flag down, you start to make sense. However look at the history of US cars. When was ever a single car built to the best of its capacity. No bars held, no corners cut, no expense too big. I think youll have to agree that never happened. And its not just hypercars and supercars for the rich that USA never made. Its also GT cars, sports saloons, sporty SUVs, Hothatches, Hatchbacks, superminis, track cars, sportscars and certainly no executives.

In Europe when people get tired of working for big car companies. They quit and form smaller niche car companies. Most fail bit there are currently around 50-60 available supercar choices out of Europe. While in USA people start tuneshops instead. Some recieve supercar status for simply tuning Mustangs, Corvettes and Vipers. With all those hundreds of thousands of recently unemployed car workers out there. Why does NOBODY start up something new is a mystery to me.

I would be the first to congratulate if they actually made the real thing. SSC, Dagger GT, Hennessey Venom and whatever else there is. But so far all I see are big words, infernal flagwaving and wild claims. Build the damn car at the very least before shouting BEST IN THE WOOORLD. And instead of attempting to create the finest car to their ability, they get confused with chasing silly records and hunting extremes. Now as always fitting a huge engine onto a scaffolding does not make a Ferrari.

American companies, most notably GM has long wanted cars to be a consumed object. A use and throw thing that you may buy on impulse. As you say, they had very clear tactic about wanting their customers to buy another one whithin 3-5 years. And that would have worked perfectly fine if it werent for foreign cars lasting alot longer. Also there is the fact that cars still represent a significant cost for the average family. While americans go for cheap cater-for-all squeeky plastic for the masses-

When americans dont produce what people want, other companies move in and completly dominate your own market in the name of capitalism. Then Obama put a limit to how many cars could be imported. So foreign, mostly asian companies set up factories in america. That way their motorcycles, cars, were no longer imports but still foreign. Making money where americans cannot. How americans look at this and not step up to meet the competition is a mystery to me.

ONE of those glorified kitcars went fast. And since we havent seen or heard from SSC since, its more than likely only THAT particular car on that particular day is able to replicate its record run. Whereas all Bugattis and Koenigseggs are able to do their thing. Its amazing how americans get hung up on hunting records and chasing extremes. Lambo, Aston, Ferrari, all the big ones are refreshingly disconcerned with unrealistic top speeds. Instead they focus on making the finest cars in the world.

American "supercars" are a joke dude. Vector, Saleen, Mosler, SSC and.... thats the entire list I believe. All of them fit an enormous engine onto a steel tube chassis as seen in racecars since the 60s, all use prefab racecar parts, all shout best in the wooorld, sell 20 cars and go bankrupt while wondering why their potential customers buy a Ferrari instead. The home-built SSC kitcar sold 10 cars mostly to crazy arabs. Not even americans bought it even with a wooorld record to its name.

I call the SSC a kitcar. Not because it comes in a box and you need to build it yourself but because they used to make Lamborghini Diablo replica kits. And amazingly they based their SSC Aero on that very lambo kit. Which is why it has all the proportions of a 90s Diablo except its good looks. Most of the parts in the car is lifted out of other cars. There is no way in hell they had the budget to make anything themselves. The cars are built in a shed behind Shelbys house with some friends.

Its never been roadtested. Nobody ever saw it do anything. They let TopGear drive it and they werent impressed. In the interview even the SSC owner refers to it as "kitcar quality" In a way its sad.. That your car industry has fallen so far that you now need to hail this kitcar to the skies inorder to find a positive side to american cars. And now that this single purpose monstrosity has been carried by the hopes and dreams of the flagwaving masses, you simply wont accept that its just a kitcar.

No true facts ? Search for SSC Aero in google. You will see pictures of every single car. Which is around 10-12 since 2007. Thats not even enough sales to pay your staff. Thats simply not a viable business. Also there were scandals and lawsuits when SSC lied about having 20 or so orders for cars that never exsisted inorder to seem more attractive to potential investors. Go to Kitcars dot com and search for "Lamborghini inspired vehicles" with some effort you will find them with address and all.

This looks like a rip off of Ronn Motors Scorpion. It will never go beyond a concept without backing. The Barabus TKR which was touted the new rocket is just now being produced after 10 yrs and only because the company was bought out. Keating is pouring his own money to finance it. Hence the new name Keating - Barabus. So unless some wealthy playboy or mogul gets the itch to put his name on a car like Jarrod Shelby this wont fly. Designers need backers or it remains just that, a dream on paper.

For all those not realizing its a scam here is a thing to read. See they are looking for investors so they can build such a thing, but are not promising anything near that. So what i can read from it, you give us your millions and we will give you a 400HP car, 150mph and say "not enough investment for a real deal, will put the rest of the money in their pockets and enjoy Caribbean... unless of course one of the investors is some big dog mafia guy, then they will hang :D

The car is built to be run on gasoline, ethanol, hydrogen and methanol.
The cars best performance is achieved with a mixture of these. The car is
going to have much less power run on gasoline. But Dagger GT's goal is
simple: The most powerful and fast street legal car. And im sure they wouldn't
release it if it weren't.
