Moggy you call the design thermo syphon! syphon because the flow is atmospheric! and thermo because its designed to cool?

Nice work on the TIG welder idea (more usefull than DC bench supply) I might be able to get the spend past the bread knife.

Problem could also be the restriction flow in the pipe, the bubbles will lubricte (reduce) fluid friction but the return may be a problem. May be try a larger diameter return pipe? and the other stuff i mentioned earlier.

  • I did also want to say that I like your design and concept. (5 stars)

Just keep in mind that each cell is different and sometimes they have different requirements of power for each of them to reach their full potential.

  • You didn't go into the details of your cell design or power supply, so I can only make general suggestions.

Most any plate design can be made more efficient by regulating the voltage (and sometimes current) applied to it.

A voltage drop of about 2.2 across each gap (where smaller is better here) will give you a better MMW values.

You only want just enough voltage applied across each gap to just trigger a large volume of output. Any more than that is wasting power and killing your MMW.
