I also thought Kirk Hammet was one of the greatest guitar players. As my knowledge of music progressed, and I heard Jazz and fusion players, it became obvious that metal players are very limited. Mangini played with Annihilator, and with Steve Vai, two contrasting styles. I'd like to see Dave Lombardo try and play fire garden suite. Speed isn't everything.
