  • pretty cool daddy-o..

  • I love you. I'm subscribing right now. I will feature one of your videos on my page. You've reminded me just how much I appreciate vinyl. in 2012, I want to by the same system you're using, and check my vinyl that's been in storage for close to 10 years. All the best to you! ~Val @ Creator's Parrot Channel

  • Excellent sound quality and video! For people who think a percussion album might be dull I challenge them to listen to the whole thing and give it a chance. Also this is a great resource for people who want to jam but are not comfortable with drum machines etc.

  • I must say you put a lot of work in your videos, showing your equipment, description on the back of the album, nice work. I subcribed

  • I just bought this today, great album

  • amazing post this is my favourite les baxter alubum such quality percussions!

i have the original & have played tracks from it out since the early 80's until now - it was one of my cult albums from the all dayer scene in brum & notts

  • I bought this album in High School in 1957

  • @RaysRoost Very interesting, thanks for sharing!

  • Does that brush work well?

  • @The1970sInfatuate why yes it does. are you looking to get into vinyl?

  • @gilmour509 Yeah, I am. I was just trying to find the best way to clean records without having to buy expensive cleaning fluids etc.

  • @The1970sInfatuate i dry brush cleaning alone will not be enough to really get down in the grooves, but it is better than nothing. i give a wet cleaning first using my "spin clean record washer". i fill mine with hot filtered tap water. i'm going to eventually build my own record cleaning machine for getting deep down in the grooves with a "nitty gritty" brush, and make my own cleaner

there are tutorials out there showing how to make your own RCM, and be able to vacuum clean the vinyl. Evan

  • this is pure gold XD !!! especialy for people who want to make loop for house music or other funky stuff XD !!! i have never listen an lp from the 50's with that kind of sound quality.

  • Very cool! I send the link to this to all my Facebook vinyl friends!

  • @evankirk Thanks for putting the word out!

    Evan

  • Oustanding! I like especially your video editing. I think you and BSD2000 have the best videos around.

Maybe 30 minutes videos are a bit too heavy to load in HD, even for fast internet connections... :-P

  • @lshin80 Thanks!

  • Absolutely fan-friggin'-tastic video!!! You've raised the bar on vinyl vids.

  • @Slayd5K Thanks a lot! Evan

  • What brush is that you use to dry clean this LP?

  • @ny718bx a "Hunt EDA Mark 6 Carbon Fiber Brush" it is re-branded under other names as well. it does a good job up picking up a great deal of surface dust. Evan

  • @gilmour509 Thank you. Ordering one after this reply.

  • That is a MUCH cooler record than I think it should be. It sounds great! I love that you showcased every aspect of this album and cover. You may have done something similar in other videos but, somehow, I must have missed them. Very well done! I'm envious of your video editing and production skills.

I've never seen that particular Capitol inner sleeve before, either. Very cool.

You put a lot of effort into making these and it shows. Thank you for putting these out here.

  • @EoLoVoX "MUCH cooler record than I think it should be" that's a great way to put it. Because my expectations were not that high when purchasing it. my thoughts were, that it was in great shape, and only 59 cents". very glad i made that decision., as some of my favorite record purchases are the ones that were bought on a unknown whim.

  • @EoLoVoX Also, thanks for the good words! i did put a more effort/detail into this Full LP upload, it took me quite awhile to complete compared to other full uploads. the goal is for people who have not had the privilege of owning a record player, to come as close as sitting down and enjoying it, without actually having to get up and flip it the record.

    Thanks again! Evan
