HMDVR cannot replace multiple DVRs

With a HMDVR, you can't pause live TV except in the room with the DVR.

You can set something to record, unless you are in the room with the DVR.

Had Fios for 2 hrs before cancelling.

You don't know Jack. Fiostv is the only major provider that does NOT recompress all the channels. The HD video starts out at 440Mbps HDCAM SR. The networks and national cable stations compress that to somewhere in the neighborhood of 15Mbps to 19.4Mbps for broadcast. Dish Network, Cable, and Directv RECOMPRESS this signal AGAIN to rates as low as 5Mbps sometimes. Fiostv passes it along the way they got it at up to 19.4Mbps.

The only other way to get the same quality is with BUD(BIG UGLY DISH).
