Let me briefly summarize this event for those of you who seem to be incapable of arguing over the most trifling of matters:

The actor (t.u. fan) was first in violation of Section 42.01, Texas Penal Code (Disorderly Conduct). He then violated Section 38.04 of the same code (Evading Arrest or Detention). If he was intoxicated, he was also violating Section 49.02 (Public Intoxication). He was reasonably escorted away by troopers of the Texas Highway Patrol, Capital Protection Division.

@MattWestThePossum I am a UT senior and I have had season tickets since 1997. Been to all the rose bowls, seen the ricky run, the vince touchdown, all of colts victories. I am a diehard longhorn fan because of our traditions as well, we just don't flaunt them all over the place. It's also not my fault there are so many bandwagon fans, it comes with a winning team. As for my horns, they have been around for over 100 years and have dominated football in many aspects, I dont expect it to change.

Listen to yourself, though..250 cadets contract in a Corps that size (which is in fact NOT annually 2500, but I'll humor you). So, if each class has a little over 500 people, and when the senior class graduates, of those 500 seniors that graduate, 250 were contracted? That's 50%. You just proved my point, so..thanks.

@HookEmTexasHorns The Corps hasn't been close to 2500 until this year, it's usually less than (but close to) 2000. It's is a valuable experience to civilians as well as military officers (just like being former military is a huge asset in the business world). It's a student organization, we know that...but I guess how you view it is up to you. I'm not here to change anyone's mind, just make sure you're formulating your opinion on fact. You do realize that the 50% number being used is only when including off campus organizations & the only written record that is cited is transcripts from a ceremony where former President Bush opened his library @ the agricultural college campus.
