  • hey man you gotta take the lcd assembly off , unscrew the 6 screws to take the lcd off then you use either a heatgun or blow dryer what ever you have, heat up the digitizer and then use a razor blade to stick in between the glass and the frame. after you have the glass off you are able to pull the home button out from the top. it does not come out from the bottom. and then you stick your new button in and put your digitizer back on and then heat it up so the glue melts back into place.

  • and then put lcd back in screw in the 6 screws reattch your cables then pop the screen assembly back in from the top to bottom. and then turn it on. make sure your connections are good if not you will need to redo the connections. good luck man

  • @bradleyxdebruin Thanks, very helpful, I ended up buying a new whole assembly, so now i have 2 good ones, X). Thanks!

  • you should have spent $20 on the front digitizer assembly that comes with a new screen/home button/cable already combined. The extra $12 bucks is worth the convenience. It's a 5 minute fix. they way you are going will take you forever to fix it, and that's if you don't break something else along the way
