  • its nice but t would have been better with dreadlocks and a small shoulder or a bigger head but it nice!

  • wow is very cool!!

you are nice in this "art"

  • i like the movie one more but good job

  • lol.. that is to be expected. They had months to work on it over at ADI with tons of concept artists and sculptors..

I just woke up and made mine off the top of my head, lol. If I planned it out it would have been better.

  • @Screenwriter805 I like the video game one from alien vs predator 3 it's awesome try doing one of that

  • @superantman11 Perhaps I'll give it a go sometime!

  • can you make a tutorial on how to make a human skull? cause i really want to make a ghost rider effect

  • ooh I see lol. Yeah math is my worst subject probably so I dont attempt to do those kind of things. do you sculpt in real life? if so what do you sculpt?

  • I used to sculpt when I was younger, but it's been a very long time. Though I will admit, traditionally sculpting indeed helps with digital sculpting as far as technique goes. :)

Just remember, that mathematics and artistry can find a meeting point if you study the craft of 3d art long enough. The mathematical aspect is integral, but as you learn more, you will forget about the math as a separate factor and it will likely become just as easy as moving around polygons. :)

  • and....how are you so good at this? u must be good at math.

  • Thanks for the compliment friend! I'm a very visual person. Truth be told, I am not a fan of math, though, yes, I am proficient at it, however it's by no means my greatest subject. I think it's simply due to my familiarity with the applications. The tools a digital artist uses are only of use when they are invisible to the user. :)

I hope you found the video helpful!

  • genius man that was cool

  • Hope it helped!! :D

  • very cool,

  • thanks! I'll be creating a full body alien warrior from ALIENS after I finish my current model..

  • oh very nice, so how long would it take to do that in one sitting?

  • From start to finish.. roughly about three hours.. non stop, lol.

  • wow, i better get me a pen, took me all night to make a claw with my laptop touch-pad lol

  • I'm gonna be posting the final conclusion of my current sculpt in a bit.. and yes.. i suggest a pen.. wacom is the best IMO.

  • Aw...Where's the Giger love? lol.

  • I suppose I don't understand the comment. Hans Rudy Giger wasn't involved in the Predalien Design. He ceased involvement in the Alien franchise after altercations with FOX on Alien 3.

He is an amazing artist however, perhaps one of the most unique of our time. I have great respect for him, however, the design I was basing the creature off of was more drawn from the work of Amalgamated Dynamics Inc.. or ADI, for short.. hence the less biomechanoid features.

But I do love Giger, yes. :D

  • I know, I'm juat saying that barely ANYONE ever sculpts the original, but so many people think it's the superior design. It doesn't make sense to me.

As for me, I fuckin' hate ADI for what they did to the alien. They killed it. They ruined everything the alien stands for wisually, and turned it into pumpkinhead with a tumor on the back of his noggin. Wait...they did pumpkinhead too... Huh.

THis means they basically used ONE base monster for everything "serious" they've done...

    Nice <_<.

  • Oh, I was talking about the aliens Warrior part. lol

    sorry.

  • And how u create new ploygons?

  • wheres the move tool so i can do what u did on 24 seconds on your video.

    well get at me

    thanks

  • Very Impressive !!!!

    and wow ! 2 A.M ???!!!!

It's pretty hard to me to come up with ideas

    at 2 AM , heh !

Thanks for this useful tutorial !

  • I'm very glad I can help you, my friend! I'm a night owl so imagining things at two AM is not much of a problem :D

Keep watching for future lectures and if you like them, please rate them :D

    Thanks again!!

  • The commentary is a wonderful addition, I am enjoying it very much.

Nice work as usual! Keep it up!

  • thanks a lot, friend!

I hope you found it helpful!!
