  • GO TO MY BLOG!! I have a little tips for camera dslr..... but come on go read it i even have an estore in it! do read!!

  • I am interested in buying a camcorder. I have a few requirements and was just wondering knew any product that fitted within this range

  • I just want a camera NOW!!!! . . . it's soo annoying to have to read, learn and review over Digital SLRs. . .

Right now I just have a small pocket digital camera, and it's really cool. I didn't have to think about the lens or anything, cause most digital cameras vary enough to know what i like and don't like. But with SLRs they can be soo similar it's hard to pick which one is the right one.

    *sighhhhhhhh*

  • @frostyh81 same

  • DSLR*

  • I prefer SLR to DSRL it's so complicated *-*

  • @ixamraxi well, i gotta say, you won. i kinda feel that you know what you're talking about. about the other guy... well, i'd rathar playing playstation with him then taking photos (ESPECIALLY landscape ones)

  • will it blend?

  • Whenever I see a guy using a DSLR... in broad daylight... with the flash on, I want to punch him in the face.

  • @Anton338 - Which suggests you are *not* a very proficient photographer. Otherwise you would know that having the flash on during the daylight is a good idea when taking photos if people with bright backgrounds, as the background will cause the person to be underexposed, in which case the flash can compensate for that. Making the person as well as the background both properly exposed. Had you added "... and more than 3 meters from the subject" I might have agreed.

  • @ixamraxi whups I'm terribly sorry for not adding ".... at more than 3 meters from the subject."... ya dipshit.

Thanks for the lesson on outdoor photography.

  • @Anton338 - You're quite welcome, as it was obvious you needed the refresher. I just found it odd that you would insult people and threaten them for not using what you [incorrectly] assumed to be poor photographing technique. Wouldn't it be better to stop and offer the person some suggestions, instead of some aggressive act of violence for failing to meet *your* discordant standards of photography?

  • @ixamraxi ? you're being a real shit pickle right now. Why are you getting so anal about this?

First of all, "I want to punch someone in the face" Is in no way an insult. Simply a demonstration of my anger / annoyance.

Second of all, I didn't really need your refresher. You just sound like a pretentious asshole so I was being sarcastic. I know perfectly well how to use flash outdoors and Im sure you (mr expert photographer) would agree that flash would be useless for landscapes (>3 meters).

  • @Anton338 - Except the person in the video was taking photos of a young lady, not a landscape. Also, it's not clear what photo is being taken when, which means you're assuming hes taking landscape photos to justify your anger/annoyance. Thats a dick move on your part. Very "my-nuts-just-dropped-but-i-know-everything-about-photography drama-queen im-angry-at-the-world daddy-didn't-hug-me bullshit". Even if you did't need a refresher on photography, you could certainly use one on life.

  • @ixamraxi piss off.

  • @pedritozero126 there isnt anyone who will get you a camera bud. u gotta get out their and work for what you want. everybody seems to be greedy nowadays.

  • @brownbassplayer huhuhu i really like to have one,.. do you have old there,... can you give me some????huhuhu :(

  • @pedritozero126 wtf? i dont even know what you are asking

  • woody was using this

  • at 1:23 the guy says 'all much of a muchness' ... who the heck wrote the narrative script? Thats makes no sense.

  • @chrismallyon thats actually a very British saying, it means there is little difference between the two when all is taken into account.

  • @riffss

no offence, but i am english, born and raised in cambridge,

and have never heard that in my 37 yrs.

  • @chrismallyon no offence taken! :) im english also, born and raised in the essex/suffolk countryside and ive heard it alot.. maybe its regional? seems strange that we are both english and one has heard it and one has never heard it!

  • @riffss

Im guessing it's maybe a local thing.

Its like me using 'the same difference' in a sentence, sometimes i get odd looks,

specially the firther north you go,lol ;o)

  • I'm selling a Canon EOS Rebel XS 35mm with 2 lenses for $350 on craigslist. Send a message if you're interested.

  • I had a shot of a sony a33 a few days ago.The operating system isn't great and the lens I tested (f/3.5-5.6 18-55mm) was sticky in terms of manually zooming. specs are good for the price but the video isn't worth bothering with.

  • so is 10 mp all you need??

  • Megapixles shouldn't have any impact on what DSLR you buy. I still use a 4MP camera for sports. And I do think the sensor plays a big role. And live view has a much slower AF-speed, because I uses contrast to focus.

  • i will watch this entire video just for the british accent narrorator

  • HA. sony......

  • Knowing how to take a good picture counts more then what brand you're using. ;)

  • Megapixel are just used as a gimmick to get people to buy cameras. The most anyone needs is like 5. TOPS. Unless you plan on covering a wall with a picture.

  • Many people should just stick to regular cameras if they suck at taking pictures.

  • are you serious?! .. want me to learn from someone who doesn't know how to hold the cam correctly?!

  • fukcing hell the lenses are soo expensive

  • @182popeye one word, ebay.

  • how much is this ?

  • lol When he was talking about steady shot it was showing the guy turning it off

  • LMFAO....people are making comments on here saying which camera body is the best. For me it's the lenses that count....a good quality glass! As long as the DSLR has more than sufficient amount of mega pixels (6mp) for me to print fairly large size images I'm good to go. And for those who are saying the brand of camera I use is better than yours.....well, your mind is warped.

  • @KEBokeh which camer would you suggest for a beginner with hd video record a timer and good in low lightening

  • @punkydebutante1 Well if your a true beginner I may suggest some of the "hybrid" cameras or couple of the "high end" compacts such as the Canon S95, Canon G12, and the Nikon Coolpix P7000. You will be able to manually control your settings and they all have HD video. Type in names of those cameras here on YTube and watch a clip. The DLSR's that are good for starting out are Nikon D3100, Nikon D7000...Canon just released their EOS 60D....

  • @punkydebutante1 IMO a lot of the DSLR's today are good in low light.....if a camera body gives you noise when you start shooting at 400-800 ISO...that's not a good body in my opinion. My D300s, D700 and D3s I can shoot at ISO 1600 and above in a concert setting and I get nice smooth images. The key for brighter images in low light is fast lenses....lenses with aperture of f1.2, f1.4, f1.8.....don't bother with zoom lenses unless your shooting in bright daylight.

  • "in this case we used sony "the super duper beginner SLR my ass " camera, lol for a beginner, i recommend a nikon or a canon :O and not at over 1000 euros :O

  • My 7D Will kick sonys ass :D

  • My Canon Rebel T2i is way better than most cameras... Don't challenge me lol

  • my canon slr (EOS 350D) will kick sony's ass any day

  • @simbles1 my a380 will kick urs

  • @Rucci74 keep dreaming

  • @simbles1 My Nikon D3000 which i dont yet have would beat the a380 too :)

  • Rebel XSi!!!!!!

  • A900 will own you and your family.

  • Try Sony Alpha 900 and see the different's .. stupid ..

  • Sony is the shit , Use your web cam. its way better !

Canon has really big MP always, but Nikon takes better pictures..

And the girl in the movie is hot !

  • My Nikon DSLR takes super sharp pictures.

  • Canon Rules.

  • Sony advert video... "look for steadyshot" oh shit, only sony has it. pretty much all cameras have stabilisation, don't get tricked by this video. buy a canon.

  • @weyzer01 Haha, i thought the same :P Sneaky marketing! But Sony's are nice camera's and look great. So is Canon

  • NIKON AND CANON ARE THE BEST!! I tested the sony A230&330 compared to Canon Rebel Xs, and Canon results is 100x better!! more vibrant, betting lighting levels, greater contrast, sony is dull and just blah like a reg camera!

  • all sony dSLR shit....

  • I think the best part of this video is the girl. :)

  • 2 right !!

  • if youre looking for a really high quality dslr look at canon. they have been making cameras for a long time.. and it's also a little less money.

  • But Nikon is good too. For example the D3000

  • Love the D3000!

  • ... I bought myself a D90

  • and D90

  • People of the world, if you prefer other brands than Nikon and have made up your minds, why bother looking or viewing at this post? Go to your own Canon or Sony websites. Since this is a review of a Nikon DSLR Camera, its exclusively for Nikonians only.

  • This is a sucky camera..

    I myself have used it,,,

and I prefer a Canon over a sony one

    really!

  • I really don't understand why anyone would get a DSLR if they intend to use auto modes all of the time.

  • Because even if you use a DSRL with auto mode all the time, the images come out is far more better than PnS

  • @NalaNosivad its like getting a formula car and requesting auto gears for it

  • @NalaNosivad lol good question is the same as get a HDTV and watch with out HD.

  • @NalaNosivad Because the average consumer is mindless and is easily influenced by the purchases of their neighbors.

  • @NalaNosivad. IDK y u'd choose a sony slr with limited lens selection.

  • @NalaNosivad..The Auto mode users believe more in showing off to others what they are carrying, rather then learning what that product can do for them... Next time u have a Japanese tourist standing next to you, take a look over their shoulder........ its always in the auto mode... and he will be carrying the biggest baddest DSLR money can buy ..hahaha

  • @NalaNosivad So can use interchangeable lenses

  • @LucidDreamTricks guess you should get an interchangeable lens camera for that

  • @NalaNosivad It's an upgrade they will soon learn to use the manual options like me. Well.. I can't use one either lol but i'm learning!

  • @NalaNosivad - Because sometimes the moment you want to capture doesn't wait for you to set the aperture, shutter-length, and ISO.

  • someone got paid by sony!

  • hehe ;)

  • @DoCWaSaBe

But at the same time he said to chose a camera that has a large range of accessible lenses, which Sony is never going to sport. Someone got ripped off =)

  • @DoCWaSaBe It says right at the beginning in ASSOCIATION WITH SONY

  • @DoCWaSaBe it says theyre assosciated with sony. lmfao.

  • Xlnt video for ubernoobs like myself.

    ThX so much.

  • Subscribe to the sony a200 channel to get the latest info and news.

  • Would you recommend this camera to a beginner getting into photography?

Note I'm looking for a professional grade camera that can take great quality pictures,I'm not a professional but I enjoy the art and would like to get started,I'm looking to take serious creative images what would you recomend?

  • I got an olympus evolt 420 should i change it !!!

  • I Have a canon eos 50d

  • Thanks for the video. Im a die hard film fanatic and maybe a bit romantic and digital confuses me.

    These videos help....thanks

  • sony maybe, but it's undeniable that nikon and canon are on par with eacother.

  • eachother*

  • im getting my first DSLR in 2 weeks Im gona get the nikon D60

  • The great thing today they don't make terrible DSLR's, but yeah some have more features then others so watch out and research.

The quality is much effected by the lens so once you find what kind of photography lays you well see what kind of lens is a worthy upgrade. For beginners..well..just use the kitlens for a while!

  • i also have a sony a200. if you're familiar enough with the controls, it's so easy to use. you can even adjust it while your on the viewfinder.

  • I agre the sony a200 is a really nice way to slide into the world of DSLR, inbuild image stabilisation really works a treat I gotta say. And even the kitlens is very acceptable.

  • i have sony a200 and i think that it's best choice for begginers (it's cheap and easy to use). I think it's better than nikon d40.

  • WTF? I have 4 megapixels and the quality is better than this!

  • wtf only 4 megapixels my camera is 8,2

    lol

  • i have 10.2

  • cool

  • not 4 .. but 14..:P

  • i have camera who's in this video =)

  • I have a Canon EOS 400D, is that a good camera?

  • It's hard to go wrong with a Canon DSLR. I recently bought a used 300D that's nearly 5 years old and it still works perfectly.

  • yes da

  • Thank you VIDEOJUG!! :)

  • I'm getting a Nikon D40, any good?

  • There are better cameras, read reviews (google it), but the color quality is a bit bad for a SLR, and it has no autofocus motor in the housing, so if you want a new lense you need to get one with a built in autofocus motor, wich costs alot.

  • i have nikon D40 .. i have it for 1.25 yr now ... it good quality camera ... if you want crisp and natural photo get Nikon D40 .... i love it....

  • yes, i know, but if you buy sony then youre going to be way too limited with the amount of accesories that are available, they just dont have the range that other manurfacturers have.

  • The A200 and many other of the Sony Alpha range can be used with almost every single minolta lense out there from years and years back, and you can get some amazing minolta glass on ebay!

  • Real specialists talking here: Maybe you should first of all make use of the sunshade - instead of keeping it in the reverse position while shooting in sunlight!

  • stalkers guide to cameras

  • I like the Canon's more than Sony and Nikon! but can't afford any, I hear the Nikon D40 is a good one as a starter???

  • D60's a more modern entry level camera, alongside either the 100D or 450D. :)

something they didn't mention was how important it is to make sure the camera is comfortable to hold! That the buttons aren't difficult to reach, and that you can happily hold it in your hand and shoot pictures for hours on end! :)

  • save and get the d80 or higher. the d80 is a great beginner, and it'll last at least 20 years if cared for

  • id go with a Nikon D60, its about the same price, and a much better investment in the long term

  • i agree with annastar, either get the Nikon D60 or you could get the canon 1000D if your budget can stretch a bit further

  • If no one has nothing constructive to say, why bother, you will just seem like an obnoxious pillock. This video will be useful to someone so why leave abusive or pointless comments!!?

  • whats up with sony. I got one for christmas and i love it!

  • first, never buy a sony if youre serious about photography, if youre a poser, then it doesnt matter anyway...

  • Sony SLRs are basically Minolta SLRs. Don't be a brand whore, I've used several Sony SLRs and they've all been as good, or better than their nikon/canon/whatever counterparts.

  • thank you for judging me! i really appreciate that, especially since you dont know me or anything about me! thanks!!!

for your information, i have used minolta slrs extensively, in fact, my first dlsr was a minolta dynax 7D!!! i never said that sony's were rubbish, i just pointed out that buying one would limit the amount of equipment that you could purchase for it, that is a fact, no matter what you say. personally, i wouldnt bother with a dlsr, id stick to my beautidul medium format thankyou!!

  • I didn't judge you! I merely stated that you don't have to just stick to sony lenses (which there aren't many of) when you buy a Sony SLR, and yes, sony accesories are somewhat limited (batteries etc). And I know you didn't say they were rubbish? Where did I say that?

  • @riffss Buying one wouldn't actually limit the amount of equipment you can buy as they're compatible with the entire Minolta back catalog of AF lenses. Because of this you can get some fantastic glass for not much money...

  • @georgehopkins not true, some minolta lenses dont work, as my wallet will attest, i literally had to search for my previous comment to see what you were talking about! haha. in any case, you will be limited, the big players have alot more glass and accesories available, its not a knock on sony, its just the way it is. anyways, like my last comment said, id avoid digi all together and stick with Medium Format

  • @riffss The older MF mount lenses are the ones that won't work natively. As far as I'm aware, nearly every AF mount Minolta lens will work, of which there are thousands; just look at the Dyxum website to see how many there are. There is no doubt about the fact that the 'big players' have much more available at the very top end of the market, but for a hobbyist, a Sony SLR is ideal. The ability to pick up top end glass that would have cost thousands originally for very little is priceless.

  • @georgehopkins that's the problem, you must not be aware because as I say, when I had my dynax there were plenty of AF lenses that didn't work. I concede to your comment that you can buy semi-top end glass for a relatively low price for minolta/sony cameras, but then I would start worrying about noise in high iso or low light situations, my dynax was literally rubbish in either of those situations and all reviews of even modern Sony's suggest its still the case

  • @riffss To be honest I've not heard of any major or large scale problems with AF lenses not working, as you say, perhaps this is something I'm simply not aware of, but in my 3 years of Sony ownership I've not experienced any problems with the old AF lenses I was buying, they've all worked flawlessly and at the level you'd expect from a brand new lens. I can't properly comment on the noise situation, but I can unequivocally say that I've had no problems with excess noise on any of my lenses.

  • @georgehopkins well noise as per the sensor. all the sony's ive seen and tested have had incredible levels of noise, even sonys flagship dslr, the A950 with their highest level of pro lens when the ISO was set at 1000 or above the noise made the photos unusable, on a similar canon or nikon the noise at those sorts of ISO's are alot more managable. sony is simply lagging behind on sensor tech. plus, the build quality is pretty poor, they so plasticky.

  • @riffss If the problem was as bad as you make out, Sony cameras would have been completely trashed by those who reviewed them. At the end of the day they're good, solid cameras which have certain aforementioned attributes which make them perfect for the Amateur market; I agree that they're not particularly ideal for the professional market due to the small amount of 'new' professional glass available, but for at least 95% of users, it's a hobby, not a career.

  • @georgehopkins all the reviews have said pretty much the same thing, sony doesnt cope well with high iso noise. yeah, for hobbyists i guess theyre fine, but i personally would avoid them and advise anyone asking me to avoid them as well as they dont stand up against the 'big 2'. although i cant agree that theyre solid, the build quality isnt up to par yet, but thats something everyone is getting used to with sony i think these days. i think give them 10 years and theyll be up there.

  • @riffss You can't generalise the entire company's build quality. The A700 I owned was a fantastically solid camera, just as good, if not better build quality than its competitors, and this was praised in almost every review I read. Even my A200 (entirely plastic construction) has so far lasted 2 years, 20,000 shutter actuations and several accidental drops. This to me denotes a well put together piece of kit. Also, I'd like to reiterate that the noise isn't horrendous like you make it out to be.

  • @georgehopkins i can generalise, you might not agree but i can. you downgraded from the A700 to A200?!..wierd... anyways, the A700 was awful, i was asked to test it and it was horrid, plastic & cheap feeling, creaky and the shutter sounded like it was going to fall off, i really didnt like that camera! it didnt stand up to its direct competition in any way apart from the price, and i felt even that was high. I would like to reiterate that the noise is horrible, the tech just isnt there yet.

  • What the hell is your problem?

  • Wow, take a nap or something, its a camera, oh an that X button on the upper right hand corner of your window works wonders if you do not like something...

  • 1st... buy any slr u like...coz in the end... u will ended up spending the same amount for any brand...

  • No, love, you won't. That's why they created this video.

  • Then...once you've got your fancy SLR camera all you need is the smokin' hot girlfriend to take pictures of.

  • Very true.

  • step#1: don't buy a Sony!

    haha

  • Yeah, witty.

  • idk :S

  • wow, this is so useful. i've been planning to buy an SLR for the longest time, but never knew what to look for.

  • first!

  • so?

  • he's feeling like he did something cool
