It's incredibly easy for whites to have always been proud of America, because America, just like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Alaska (and others) was stolen by whites to make a better place for whites, and that's pretty much how things have always been..... for whites..BETTER. But for blacks, Native Americans and others, not so, especially for blacks due to the color of their skin, rather than the contents of their character.

What I hear her saying is that, for the first time in her ADULT life, she's REALLY proud of America. That means she was really proud as a child but, when she entered adulthood that pride waned(for reasons spelled out clearly in her senior thesis)and now, because millions of uninformed Americans are supporting her husband, she's regained that childhood pride. Tuscoggee was tragic.  The people who did that, and the people they did it to, are dead. If someone floods my front yard with trash, I can pick it up and haul it off. Flooding the black community with drugs created no problems. USING the drugs created the problems, and the CIA didn't do that, the blacks did. Katrina? Hundreds of thousands got out on their own when they were warned, including many blacks. The ones who sat on their behinds waiting to be carried out, deserved what they got.

Obviously I cannot answer for something someone else did. The American people have spent more than a trillion dollars trying to help blacks yet, by almost every measure you can apply, blacks as a community and culture are worse off than they were in 1965 in most respects. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink it.  Blacks seem to take pride in avoiding "the white man's" standard. Until blacks want to do better, there'll be no helping them.

It wasn't deleted LIVE. It was on C-Span live. That's why it is correctly stated on C-Span. Fox and drudge deleted it later and others followed suit. Shame. Of course there is a difference between being Happy and being Overjoyed. THat is the difference between being proud and really proud. Hope this helps with your confusion.
