@The530aftescho Agreed. Kristine Johnson is as good looking if but better then any news anchorwoman I've even seen. none of these so called hottest anchorwomen have her facial assets... not Jackie Guerrido or even Sibila Vargas who looks pretty good considering her age.
WCBS has fallen far since the days of Robert Trout and Frank Gifford. My recent return to New York TV shattered my notion that the local news was of the highest quality, a step down from network news broadcasts. KCBS' Paul Magers and Laura Diaz make Channel 2's newest duo look like wax mannequins. I suspect the only reason networks use New York talent for fill-in and weekend network shows ("Early Show," "Today," etc. is that they can save travel expenses and simply use whoever is next door.
well obviously, but NY is the #1 market and why would you look elsewhere to bring a fill in anchor? your fill in anchor already works full time at another station, and to fly them in just for a day or 2 of work makes no sense.........plus you're right, sam champion did fill in weather and eventually became the go to weather guy at GMA.
Hi...as soon as I posted my comment I realized this. "Of course they use NY anchors--why would they do anything else? But I still kinda think that there was an era when NY, the #1 market, also had the #1 quality of talent too, and I really think those days are over. Thanks for the message.
well it's hard to find better i mean these talent come to ny usually from other large cities........i'm bias but i'm a big wragge fan.....i worked for a bit at wcbs when he was still in sports, he always found time here and there to help me out if i had any questions about my career, etc.......most talent in such big markets wouldnt care.....both he and ducis rodgers are great talent and people as well.
You're in the business...you know these folks...so I defer entirely to your judgement. I guess I've been sort of biased as a West Coast person and thought that LA talent sort of gets slighted by default. On the other hand, though, LA anchors often wind on entertainment/tabloid syndicated shows...which says something...I'm not sure what. Nice talking to you. Nick
Man people up there are so lucky to have CW. I remember when he was down here in Houston a couple of years ago. To bad he had to leave. No personality in our anchors down here. We are letting young energetic anchors like CW go and letting old farts still report the news.
Chris Wragge should replace Mark Steines on "ET" very, very soon since I find the latter terribly annoying. He'll be paired with Jann Carl (who succeeds Mary Hart) which should be very exciting, eh!
I'd love to see that happen, too. Doubtful tho, in the near future since he just got better positioning in the NYC anchor spot. CW killed when he was on ET as a correspondent years ago, and I'd love seeing him back on the show as the ET anchor. He could re-energize ET - which it sorely needs.
Kristine Johnson is the most beautiful anchorwoman I have ever seen in my life.

I strongly agree with you. CW is way better than MS.

Anyone know the latest status on Chris and his wife Victoria?
go4theburn 4 years ago
I think they're divorced.
mrceleb2006 4 years ago
The latest I heard is that they're legally separated, not divorced just yet.
