  • "THE BOUQET RESIDANCE, THE LADY OF THE HOUSE SPEAKING"

    yadda yadda yadda!

    )

     O-

  • i like people to remove their shoes and socks if they want when my friends come over. I want people to feel comfortable in my house. Not because of my floor, i can care less about my floor! lol

I hate shoes! barefoot for me all the time!

  • That couple ordering their kitchen are my (and Hyacinth's) worst nightmare, though for vastly different reasons...

  • Man, its such a shame that there's only 8 seasons of Keeping up appearances..but i've prolly watched every episode a million times and its still awesome, always makes me laugh

  • @kittykatpawz like me with The A-Team.

  • this is the best of all the british comedies

  • "its very inner city to stare at your feet"-one of her best quotes ever!

  • i've never seen this one!!!

  • @stevenshorter67 i thought i had seen them all. . .. but i never saw this one either!

  • This cmedy is so funny. :D

I used to watch this show with my grandpa.! :D

We laughed all the time. ;D

  • is elizabeth in this one

  • That's Trevor Bannister, aka Mr. Lucas! I was sure it was him from the start, but couldn't help checking IMDB to confirm my hunch. :D

Lol @ Hyacinth rolling her eyes at the unassuming young couple. (She obviously thinks they're putting on airs, which is exactly what she is doing!)

  • @GMJ7 I thought that was mr.lucas...i paused & scrolled down just to see if anyone thought so too lol..another great british show, Are you being served

  • God I love this show! :D

  • For some reason, this one was not in the regular rotation on my PBS......I only saw this one on DVD along with "Sea Fever"

  • @Jude1968 its a christmas special and so is sea fever

  • @Jenny8817 why is that ? Because they aired on Christmas? The episodes themselves have nothing to do with Christmas.

  • @Jude1968 i dont think ive seen this episode on PBS either. 'Sea Fever" i did catch on PBS a few years ago but i havent seen it on lately. they probably only put it on rarely since its so long

  • she made him drive bare feet

  • OMG!!!!! Really? Thats cool. I love Mr. humphries!

  • i love this show and the character she plays....but id NEVER be able to live next door to her...lol

  • now it's a new kitchen...

i always wondered how richard can afford hyacinth's ... well hyacinth herself...and sheridan of course. he must have had a huge income and a decent pension now that he is retired...

still, poor man, that he never is in charge of his own finance or allowed to treat himself a little after a life of work. especially when he still got the hardest years ahead

  • Comment removed

  • @Hanakomiko if that was directed at me personally: no i can't, not yet. and i doubt i will be able to afford to retire once i will retire. but luckily i still got about 40 years left to work and attempt to save money before retiring =)

  • @bunnybrain I meant that a title of book I saw Richard reading in one of the episodes :)

  • @Hanakomiko oh, ok, sorry =)

which episode was that? i missed that

  • @bunnybrain it was in season 5 episode 1: senior Citizen Outing

  • Hyacinth never listens to him!

  • @bunnybrain they are not getting a new kitchen, just a new worktop.

  • @csrogc63 i know that, sorry for using the wrong term. the word worktop must have slipped my mind when i wrote my comment

  • @bunnybrain Thats part of why the show is hilarious

  • @linkodude43 i know. i wasn't being completely serious.

  • @ 9:00 Trevor Bannister!! So thats what happened to Mr Lucas after he left Grace Bros!!! haha....R.I.P Molly Sugden, Wendy Richards, and John Inman..

  • I can relate to the calls she gets. I get calls from businesses all the time getting the digits mixed up. Its rather annoying after awhile...

  • The Americn way is:

Give your cell phone number only to people of trust then you can afford not answering your home phone and let the answering machine deal with'em. Call back when YOU feel like it.

  • the American way is : sit on the sofa and watch t.v.; you have comcast so you can SEE who will be calling you, LOL, they post the caller id on the television now!

    NOW THATS LAZY TOWN!

  • (From 8:40 onwards)

Well, it seems like Mr Lucas got fired from Grace Brothers and got a job in a Kitchenware shop. So that's where he went at the end of season 7....

(For those who don't know, the salesman in the Kitchenware shop, Trevor Bannister, played Mr Lucas in the long running comedy "Are you being served?" in the 70/80's)

  • hahah!! I just said the same thing!!!

  • I loved that show too, wow I can't believe that's him, still working in some kind of store I guess, lol

  • i love the vicar! so funny!

  • all of you shut up she is safe

  • More like the green dragon! LMFAO

  • I kind of relate to Hyacinth as my number is one different from the F.B.I.

  • That is way cooler than a chinese restaurant! You could really have FUN with that!! :D

  • Poor Hyacinth always expecting a call from a person more important than her present company.

  • "Hatch, Match or Dispatch" = Births, Marriages, or Deaths. I love it! This show is a hoot as are almost all British comedies.

  • Yeah, and this is one of the funniest!

  • she has o.c.d

  • how? what gives you that idea?

  • Thanks for posting!

  • I can't deny Hyacinth has good taste- angel gabriel blue was a very pretty colour.

  • I love the way Richard looks at the paint sample! LOL!

  • i love mr. lucus

  • IT'S MISTER LUCAS AT HIS NEW JOB!

  • At 9:20 i was wondering if it was Trevor Bannister.

  • LOL. Poor Mister Lucas. Always the salesman, never the wealthy customer. It seems to be his fate. =D

  • I painted my living room Angel Gabriel Blue

  • thanks for uploading!!! i love this show aha

  • I didn't like the list of best British comedy this should have been in top 5

  • yes without a doubt!

  • Definitely. What was number one?

  • I believe it was 'Only fools and horses'.

  • I see. I have to confess I like Keeping Up Appearances Better than Only Fools and Horses, but it's still funny. Porridge and Dad's Army also deserve a place in the top 5 imo.

  • I'm glad that at least the Blackadder series went on there as well . . .

  • Blackadder was cool, I should have remembered that one.

  • I love this show x
