You know, I'm not the kind of person who goes "THE SONG OF MY LIFE" and what-not. But the lyrics in this song touch me personally, a lot. Last night I had a dream of the first girl I ever fell in love with, who I respect more then just about anyone else in the world. That was years ago and I was a child, but it had more of an impact on my life and who I am then I could have known. She never felt the same way that I felt about her, but heartbreak made me into who I am now.

I needed her, and however much she hurt me, and she really did, she through me into depression for years that I haven't even recovered from today, she made me such a better person then I ever would have been without her. I still love her for that, even though I'm sure she's not even the same person now. She never "gave herself to me", but she did show me the truth about so many things, about myself. Thank you Abigail, I'll never forget you.

They are all in the group called The Seatbelts. Conte and Sakamoto have both sung with the group. Conte has his own band with his brother now and Sakamoto sings solo

One of many, many epic Kanno collaborations. All the vocalists she works with are fantastic in their own right (Conte especially), and everything she adds complements them perfectly. In particular, Steve Conte's voice is so powerful it doesn't need any augmentation or backup, so she filled in every little bit of space behind him to make the whole piece absolutely overwhelming, and letting up on the intensity just often enough to make an impact.
