    True, but in that case the racers of the Grand Prix cars of the late 1930's were braver still. It's all relative.

  • Jean Behra in number 6 did what Mark Webber did at Monaco too and totally jumped the start.

  • @213HBK I think Behra's clutch was "taking up" and the movement was involuntary. I don't believe Behra was penalised and it would have been hard on him if he had.

    It was an infinitely more dangerous age but far more gentlemanly and the cars were beautiful. They certainly are not now.
