ATP Review of the EightArc Fusion Arcade Stick

Why can't there be fightstick that has all sanwa parts, fusion, detatchable cord, balanced weight and spacing, and the felt bottom? I mean that's the real deal there!

I know this sounds silly but does the stick part of the stick have 4 corners? Like the stick is restricted by a square being Ideal for charge characters?

The Q4's start button isn't Sanwa, but is still a problem regardless.

Like the review, they just put out two new fusion colors. Going to get the sapphire. I play ggpo on the pc and the 360/ps3 so its a great deal for an all in one stick.

I tried at the eightarc booth during Dromstruction today and this is a pretty impressive hardware. The felt finish is great because it prevents slipping from your lap and I agree it definitely should be the standard for a lot of fightsticks now. If I can get the budget to get this, I would definitely have bought on the spot today at their booth.

I have one of these and it is fantastic. Word of warning though, the headphone jack in the front ONLY works for 360 headsets. So you won't hear any game audio through it.

Can I ask why you like the Onyx more than the fusion? Is there a difference beside the fusion being dual modded?

Felt Sheets/Padding Could be picked up at almost anywhere.

HomeDepot, Amazon, Etc. Get an XACTO knife and cut to fit.

Interesting Idea, might add myself.

Also you could always use a quick dry epoxy and add some metal 1/8~ thick to add a bit of height, I know it wont feel the same, but it will hold it down. I would of course place it inside and add something to make sure it does ground out parts.

Short Story, you can modifiy anything with a few cheap tools.

nice review aris, how would i get to the artwork? are the screws from the top of the panel? cant really tell.

@bboystyles650 There are 6 covered screws on the top of the sticks. They are flush on top of the face of the stick unlike the TE.

@bboystyles650 eightarc site sells clear pannel tops for their sticks. And they offer photoshop templates to work on your artwork but i think you gotta get your artwork printed yourself and cut. I guess you can print the artwork out and put the panel on top and cut it out.

One thing I did like about the Onyx model was that it had the USB port that you can plug the USB cable into as opposed to the cable being hardwired onto the stick like the MadCatz TEs.

After watching this review, however, I'm highly considering ordering the Fusion instead. Out of curiosity, are the USB cables hardwired onto the Fusion like a TE, or is it built like the Onyx where it has the USB port and the separate cable?

@FeltAndFrets The USB cable is hard wired on the Fusion just like the TE. Only the Onyx and Pearl have detachable USB cables. Onyx is my favorite for sure.
