@RubiTrack Unless your slap a turbo on a four stroke all they are good for is a nice trail ride sled. Not hating on four strokes but you can't honestly say that pound for pound a 4 stroke is better. Yamaha does have great 4 stroke sleds though i'll admit that, mostly because they've had them in their lineup the longest.

I went places where my buddies couldn't follow, either because they couldn't cut the side hills or because they didn't have the power to pull the nasty hills because there was no room to get speed at the bottom. Not knocking 4 strokes either, but I'll never buy another oil burner.

Valid point. The current line up of Ski Doo's is by far the best in the industry however. My 09 TNT 600 is everything in 1 sled. Quick, comfortable and LIGHT as hell. Even decent on fuel.
I've rode the 800 ETEC as well and it's insane. Best sled on the snow.

Ski-Doo is not everything in one sled. They lack durability and build quality, and with all the bent/twisted/warped tunnels and a-arms it shows. To me they just look like thin sheets of aluminum and plastic wrapped around their engines. I totally respect the opinions of others, but what I said is valid truth.
It would be valid if it had happened to any of the 4 late model Rev XP Ski Doo's my family owns, or my friends for that matter, but it hasn't happened therefore it's not valid. I haven't heard of anyone hurting a new Doo in that fashion. I abuse the hell out of my TNT and it takes it like a champ.

I've got my name on a new 2011 800R ETEC. Most incredible motor ever. Pulls harder than any Yammy out there (non turbo of course), weighs a fraction of what the 4 strokes weigh and it's going to be bulletproof with the tried and tested ETEC injection system. It'll even get good gas mileage!
To each their own, as long as they don't like Arctic Cat. I can't allow that. Yammy's have their place, but I won't ride a 4 stroke until they weigh as much as a 2 stroke. Yammy build quality is awesome.

It was an exaggeration. Either way, a 600 lb sled in this day and age is brutal. My sled full of gas tips the scales at 440 lbs. With just a 600 cc carbed engine I can carry the skis to 65 mph.
You stupid prick. The sled weighs 404 lbs dry. I put it on the scale at the dealership. There's maybe 3 lbs of oil in the little tank? Add 35 lbs of fuel with the 40 liter tank and voila, around 440 lbs. Do your research dumbass. The Rev XP TNT is the lightest full sized sled on the market.

I ride the living hell out of mine and no issues yet. I'm 215 lbs and enjoy being in the air as opposed to being on the ground, so the TNT sees a lot of jumps.
The Yammy 700 is well built for sure. No one can doubt that. Fit and finish on them are fantastic.

Since we don't care, it looked like an 03 rx-1,the first year they came out and they stopped making the rx-1 in 05, replaced by the Apex or rx-10 in 06, and that ski-doo looked to be about an 02, and I believe ski-doo is still using the same 800 rotax engine today as they did back then. But I really don't care either, lol.

That is an older skidoo. Put the RX1 against a modern MXZ 800 and I think it would be a different race. That and that 'Doo needs some studs. He spun terribly out of the hole.
the drags were on this year as well and there were rev xp's, rev's and mach z's but an apex turbo and an apex supercharged cleaned up, the other fastest two stroke was an sxr 786 big bore with many mods im not sure wat was all done
They put a larger hp engine in the Yamaha hoping it will sell as many sleds as the other guys. I guess they think if they make the yamaha POS fast enough people will look the other way when it blows apart and you walk home.

Actualy getting a belt to spin without ovaling due to gyroscopic effect at speeds over 100 has plagued the industy with extremly heavy weight setups being the cure to hold it in the clutch sheaves this robs horspower having to spool up that much weight i doubt tall grearing alone is going to make this a 125 mph sled .ive seen many 1000 cc and 1200 cc mod sleds with much higher hp numbers than an apex only run 125...i dont know what to say ask your auntie maybe shes a magician

Yammy's are pricey, but well built so you get what you pay for. I however refuse to ride a sled that weighs 1000 lbs with me and a tank of gas in it.

put that rx-1 vs 05 and newer 800 powertek and the powertek will put it to shame everytime....i know, i have an 07 x and my buddy has an 04 rx-1......bottom end is close then im gone mid and top..145 hp that weighs a ton or 142 hp that is 460 pounds.......do the math

close fuckin race i'd say...see it would be better if it was a mach z in the same year as that mxz because then it would have the same engine size and roughly around the same weight..i personally think that would be an awesome race...but in this vid..the rx1 owns the sled not only cuz of power but of the overall performance and i love ski-doo..but i dont think any 800 could beat that rx1 unless it has mods or its a newer one...other than that good race

Since we don't care, it looked like an 03 rx-1,the first year they came out and they stopped making the rx-1 in 05, replaced by the Apex or rx-10 in 06, and that ski-doo looked to be about an 02, and I believe ski-doo is still using the same 800 rotax engine today as they did back then. But I really don't care either, lol.

the new 800 motors in the rev-x chassis are 151hp an the 800s in the rev sleds are 131hp.

wrong...the 800 rotax has evolved since then. And any intelligent person can see that the rx-1 hooked up while the ski-doo spun. If it would have hooked, maybe it would have won. FYI Yamaha's speedometers are a joke, over 10% off.

That is an older skidoo. Put the RX1 against a modern MXZ 800 and I think it would be a different race. That and that 'Doo needs some studs. He spun terribly out of the hole.

the drags were on this year as well and there were rev xp's, rev's and mach z's but an apex turbo and an apex supercharged cleaned up, the other fastest two stroke was an sxr 786 big bore with many mods im not sure wat was all done

They put a larger hp engine in the Yamaha hoping it will sell as many sleds as the other guys. I guess they think if they make the yamaha POS fast enough people will look the other way when it blows apart and you walk home.

Yamaha has made four strokes for years on their atvs and I've put many of them back together on the side of the trail. I've owned 6 atvs, 12 snowmobiles, 8 motorcycles in my life. 5 of those were Yamahas. You're wasting your breath if you're trying to convince me Yamaha isn't the shittiest manufacturer out there.

I've been riding fourwheelers, snowmobiles, motorcycles, and stuff you've never even heard of since 1983. Bring your yamaha to the mountains and I'll tow it home for you too. I've made lots of money towing different snowmobiles home, but mostly from Yamahas. Go riding by yourself on a Yamaha in my area and it will be your last ride.

Funny story. Just went riding by myself, and my dad brought out his 212hp rx-1 mod, I saw him when he was walking back a mile from his sled, and I had to help pull him out because he had broken a-arms.

My mxz 800x renagade beats my buddys rx1 but not by much its off trail i SMOKE it lol fuck stock drags..show me a turbo or a big bore kit then drags are worth watching.especialy watching the 600 class its like watching paint dry.....and to the guy says the apex does 125 mph stock YOUR INSANE lol the clutching cant possibly allow it

Actualy getting a belt to spin without ovaling due to gyroscopic effect at speeds over 100 has plagued the industy with extremly heavy weight setups being the cure to hold it in the clutch sheaves this robs horspower having to spool up that much weight i doubt tall grearing alone is going to make this a 125 mph sled .ive seen many 1000 cc and 1200 cc mod sleds with much higher hp numbers than an apex only run 125...i dont know what to say ask your auntie maybe shes a magician
