You should start by playing it, not talking. I am browsing trough videos and i am trying to find a specific lesson, i can't watch the whole thing just to see if i got to the right place you know
Dude this is awesome. Is there anywhere I can find charts for all the inversions of major, m7th, and m6th chords on the 6th , 4th, and 3rd strings? Or do I have to do it the hard way? Either way, sweet video
In my view, playing jazz guitar without a grounding in the style of Freddie Green is a bit like calling yourself a rock guitarist without being able to play like Chuck Berry. Your videos are really valuable. Keep 'em up.
JPC, Thank you so much for this lesson. I'm going to practice the full cycle of inversions over and over until I'm fluent with it. That will bring my level of playing up to a whole new level. One question. When you do the inversion with the 3rd on the bottom it looks like you're just playing the 3rd, root and 5th, no 7th or 6th. Am I seeing and hearing this correctly?
You are seeing/hearing it correctly. You can add the notes on the second string if you want but I would rarely, if ever, play those notes when playing with a big band. With those you're starting to get into the horns and pianos ranges.
What kind of guitar are you using? Great tone.

Would you play on the low E string when playing with a big band?
Also have you been able to transcribe Freddie's chords? I can barely hear him

These are terrific! Just goes to show: you don't know everything about guitar until you play in a big band.
