Thanks again for introducing me to a game that I haven't heard about. I am going to be running a game club for my 4th and 5th graders; do you think that this a game they could handle and enjoy? So far in test runs on fridays(Don't tell my principal:)), I have had success with Memoir 44, Small World, Ticket to Ride and Formula D.
@aeneas2467: if they can play Memoir, they can play this one. worse comes to worse, you can have them play a simplified version without wizards and spells, but i think they can do it AND have tons of fun! The fantasy theme is just so appealing to the young generations!
May be you should try the unofficial variant from the BGG to play with some of the Hammer of the Scots rules, I think they add some (but not too much) deepth to the game :)
