Well, I used NO ADDONS in this video. If you compare this to FSX without ORBX, REX, GEX, etc. then you'll see, that it's better....

Anyways to me ORBX is useless as I fly mostly in Asia, Africa and Europe and they offer product to boring USA and Australia which itself is nice place but I dont see reason to fly there.

@mgairbus um I see improvement? :D I have never been a "long time" x-plane fan, but I was glad to switch from FSX to XP 10 when it came out. Texture quality can obviously be adjusted, and I personally find the scenery to look better than FSX (if you are comparing REX and other specialized addons to default XP 10 then you are pretty much just not being fair)

@Dance2Trance22 Parts, but what they do cover is amazing. CTAF frequencies written on the runways, grass around the airports, all sorts of little details like that. Check out their site, it's totally worth it.

@mgairbus 3rd party is what makes FSX so much better, vanilla versions of both software have their pros and cons but FSX is the real winner in my opinion. But of course, it's like the high wing/low wing debate: You prefer whatever you learned in!

@mgairbus Someone who wants a PC simulator that is actually realistic. X-Plane simulates the aircraft flying through the air. FSX aircraft run on code. FSX flight characteristics are frankly awful, no matter how much you pay for a PMDG addon for instance.

@mgairbus Well, sooner or later FSX is going to look old. It's still using mostly DX9 interfaces and it can't do volumetric fog. Sooner or later, X-plane is going to surpass it, and then what? Will you go over to Flight?

You can download the demo at x-plane.com. I also live in europe (germany) and I ordered the game from the x-plane.com website. They'll ship it over the sea for you :) (takes about 2-3 weeks, I'm still waiting for mine)

Hey! Super gemacht! Ich hab ein oder zwei Fragen an dich: 1. Gibt es auch automatisch kontrollierte Flugzeuge? 2. Sind bei jedem Flughafen Gebäude vorhanden? Wollte mir auch das Demo runterladen, hab dann aber abgebrochen weil es irgendwie 22 Uhr war und ich den Computer nicht über Nacht laufen lassen wollte :) Video über XP 10 vlt in einer Woche. Nochmals, tolles Video!

1. Ja es gibt automatisch kontrollierte Flugzeuge. Sie interagieren mit dem ATC, haben eine intelligente KI und natürlich einen schutz gegens zusammenstoßen. Das neue ATC system is der volle burner!

2. nein, nur bei Seatlle. Der rest wird so wie in V9 gehandhabt. Allerdings ist die neue Welt der Hammer! Man könnte meinen, man fliegt durch ein GTA spiel, so echt sehen die strassen und so aus!

How do you use the camera like at 0:44. My 3D cockpit moves REAALY REALLY slowly with the arrow keys. And it can't move forwards. The up arrow key moves it up. Any help is much appreciated!

I just set a new key assignement for view/move_forward/fast (or smth. like that). Just add a new key assignement and search for the command :D
