  • The movie was awesome, ignore the negatives.

just finish the book and is really good to see your work!

  • Madness? THIS IS MACONDOOO!!! FREKING HILARIOUS!!

  • good, but i'm disturbed that you are so into video games. I like to judge people for weakness's like that. Study harder, practice harder!

  • This was hilarious.

  • 3:07 Arcadio ?

And on 2:00 who is that suposed to be?? Úrsula?

  • One Hundred Years of Solitude is my favorite book, but I don't see anything wrong with this. It's humorous and they seem to be having a good time with it. I don't see what the problem is.

  • i'd like to see the book made into a movie one day; maybe by mel gibson. he's crazy but he knows how to make good films.

  • @zabbok Mel Gibson as José Arcadio Buêndia xDDD

  • Hello Pyroviper, I'm a Latin American. I've read One Hundred Years of Solitude more than once and wanted to say I greatly enjoyed this video, very creative. Good work.

  • I have to write a Comparative essay between this book and The Lost Steps for IB tonight. This actually helped. I'm not kidding.

  • lol. Very nice depiction of the book. It is very creative that you used the halo characters as your main characters. But the funniest part was "THIS IS MACANDO!!".

  • idiot

  • I actually really like this video. It must have taken a lot of time... It is amazing for whoever read the book and understands it fully. Simply remarkable...

  • That would be the craziest fucking movie ever!

  • Why you gringos have more fun with One Hundred Years of Solitude than we, Colombians, do! ¬¬

  • If my english teacher saw this he'd kill himself, but I lol'd, good job.

  • Not only might I have the satisfaction knowing I wasted your time, but I'm even more ecstatic to know that this video was so bad that you felt compelled to waste your time commenting on it.

    Thanks for the love (:

  • where are the yellow butterflies? (and the erotic scenes?) i forgot you are a typical american teen (who watches too many game videos)

  • Wouldn't the typical American teen focus on the erotic scenes? I would've thought that made a teenager more american as video games are, last time I checked, played around the world (even in Europe, did you know that?)

If you're criticizing me for no inclusion of the erotic scenes in the book then I apologize; when I read it, I wasn't expecting the author to really just be writing a steamy love novel of all his fantasies.

  • erotic stuff belongs to people around the world not only americans, i don't play video games so i don't know much about them, i am not american and i am not european, so i didn't know that.

I was not criticizing you so harshly, i just miss erotic scenes, ;)

  • @pyroviper Don't worry. The typical american teen doesn't even know wtf 100 years of solitude is. Good job, kid.

  • @TheDocserge btw ahahahah@halo

  • That was actually pretty damn good. I read it for my Honors English class, and I gotta say, Colonel Aureliano Buendia is one tough customer.

  • Speaking of the old Colonel, you should have done the scene where he says "Now I'm Colonel Aureliano Buendia."

  • L O L

hhahaha wow, this is funny, stupid really, I do not get offended, of course Gaarcia Marquez might, it's just funny to me...

  • this is the stupidest video ever, clearly you didn't appreciate the book if you insult it with this

  • Did you know the English language consists of the word known as "Parody"?

    Commonly mistaken for insult, apparently.

  • entre pa ver esta guebada??? alamierd...

  • Excelent video, greetings from Macondo (read Colombia)

  • in the original book they never say "gringo"

  • Yes, they do, I read it in Spanish. I don't know if in the English translation they erase that word.

  • I'm reading the book right now and I have to say I loved your video! Keep up the good work!

  • Este video es una mamada, como dijo el harrymovie. Como chingados mezclan Halo y 100 Años de Soledad?

  • Que?

  • This is Macooondo!!!

    Hauhauhau...

    Great job!

  • lol, thanks

  • Yeah I lawled at that part

  • I'm currently reading the book right now. I also have mixed feelings, I think it's beautifully written, but the evergoing plot is kinda...stretched...? IDK, I guess I gotta finish it before I make any assumptions. Nice vid.

  • I know exactly what you mean. I hope you get something out of it while trudging through, though. It has its moments but it also makes me shake my head at points.

    Thanks for the comment

  • I had to read that book in an honors english class one year.If the book had been even half as good as this trailer, I probably would have liked it. This was great. Well done. I liked the "this is Macondo" bit. =)

  • This is a really good review. I'm reading this book for AP lang&comp... Its good

  • Thanks

We had to read it in AP Lit & Comp as well. I had mixed feelings on it. So, I did and did not like it

Hopefully I'll read it a second time for a different effect

  • La Nueva Parodia Gringa Guevona!!!

El hecho que mezclen "Cien Años de Soledad" con su gringada "Halo" es estupido!

    Consiganse una vida gringos idiotas.

  • 1. Start escaping the vocab used in the book and start using a better word than Gringo over and over. I am no dumb, typical American.

    2. I know you Spaniards worship the book, but learn to laugh a little! The book wasn't the Holy Bible as much as S. America would like to admit it.

    3. Chill out. There was no intent on bashing the book. I did this for an AP project and thus I needed to stay true to the book. It was showed in Madison College so I don't need to justify its maturity or validity.

  • Well I would have to disagree with you when you say you are not a dumb typical american... Spaniards are from Spain, and the looks of the writing harrymovie123 is not from Spain. Garcia Marquez is from Colombia if you had any doubt... But I have to say the video was pretty creative, very funny to, I am from Puerto Rico, this is my fav. book and I can apreciate the humor in your vid. even rated it 5 stars ;) nice job anyways

  • Thanks

The Spaniard part had slipped...we did get the background of the book and I forgot the cultural detail when saying "you Spaniards".

I didn't think the book was all too bad either...just not fond of the fanatics.

  • Banana Rupublic....ha ha ha...;) I think this CAN only be appreciated by those who read the book.

  • lol!

  • ............................cool

  • this thing was sickk...lol @ that lady at the conference who questioned the legality of it haha.

  • thanks

yeah, i didn't really like her
