@d4rkt0w3r5 This was taken from a movie called True Stories, which John Goodman had the lead in and which was directed by David Byrne. It's great and totally off the wall, and more than worth checking out if you like Talking Heads.
Well thanks for posting, wish it was a little better resolution, but then again that's probably why YouTube hasn't pulled the audio on this clip as well as the others. Add that to my collection anyway ... there. Thanks Download Helper :-)
I saw True Stories last night ..that movie is essentially David Byrne jacking off for 90 minutes and I loved it ...a liberal dose of Tom Arnold was thrown in for good measure
Brilliant guitars in this song. I have always loved it. Too bad the kids nowadays don't know of it. Maybe it needs to be used in a movie or something. lol.

@talligalli While the concert film 'Stop Making Sense' is their peak, the video for "Wild Wild Life" is certainly their best music video (sorry "Once in a Lifetime"!!)
@lavasmokechile and @BlackMambakins this song was from a movie that David Byrne wrote and directed in 1986 in which John Goodman co-starred and played someone Byrne met while visiting Texas. Goodman's character was in search of someone to marry so they went to this club where patrons get up and sing parts of songs in an attempt to woo the opposite sex. The video was that sequence from the movie. The movie was called "True Stories."

i used this song on my part of my wedding video showing slide show pics of my life. although not wild at all still a pretty good feel good song that no one uses for these type of things
I love this video, but you have to admit that it was probably "super" cheap to put together . . . if you're David Byrne of the Talking Heads! If I asked John Goodman to be in one of my videos, it would set me back a pretty penny!
@lavasmokechile in those days it was who the heck is john goodman so ya know tv time is tv time and they probably paid him shite but look where he is now...
This song is so clearly about cocaine abuse in the early 80's. Just replace Wild Wild Life with Coke Coke Coke. If you do Coke you're in for a wild wild life. Still a damn good song though.
I hope this one's up for a while. This is the third time in two months that I've saved this video to my playlist, they keep getting removed. Somebody has it out for the talking heads..
I really liked their movie all about Texas. I only saw it once, but I remember D.Byrne going into the Texas Instruments facility, back when electronics were still made in USA.
I wish David Byrne would just swallow his pride and do a reunion already. They are all still alive, so he should just get out there with them and do it with them.
Oh man, this video is amazing. Anyone who was around during this 'era' should be able to identify the characters in this rock-and-roll parody of the best kind. Timeless song, timeless era. Wild, wild life....
That heavy chick in the beginning sure has some good moves.......Kudos to the gal in the red dress at 1:17 and yeah,,,that karate kid looking dude does look familiar - I so remember this song on the radio cruising around LA late at night in the 80's.....How bout the cowboy,,,looks all nerdy til he puts that hat on and instantly becomes kkkoolllll..............Gee I miss the 80's
@jrzgirl56 Yep, thats John Goodman. This is from the movie "True Stories," which, if you're into anti-capitalist, anti-corporate, weird movies, is excellent and one of my favorite movies ever
Agreed! I didn't get into them until just now and I'm 25. The "Stop Making Sense" DVD is amazing. I love the live version of Naive Melody on that one. Such an infectious song because it gets stuck in your head (which is a GREAT thing :D )
