  • Not trying to start an argument but this is far more beautiful than the Quran.

  • elouxim is not god try to find out what elouxim realy means

  • Nice work! My understanding is that the 6th letter in the time of Scriptural Lashon HaBrith was a /w/ sound and became a /v/ sound through Germanic influence. Wonderful work thought. Keep up the good work!

  • I love this! It was promised that the Torah would have a Engish translation. I have waited a few years ago. Oh how hard the Hebrews have worked to make it come true. I feel closer to GOD while listening. So very beautiful. Thank you so very much.

  • This is great! I've been teaching myself Biblical Hebrew for a while now and I'm reading through Gensis at the moment so this is perfect for helping with my pronunciation :)

  • @Huldumavur what's the song recording you have at the beginning?

  • @0x783czar Did you find out what the name of the song is?

  • @realpolodon I think he's referring to it sounding like Allah in Islam (which is probably because it's the same word since it's the same God with differing beliefs about him.)

  • @0x783czar

aramaic and arabic are very closely related...theyre both Semitic languages and even more closely related to each other than arabic and hebrew, which are close to begin with. I can pick up a few words of the hebrew myself and I speak arabic, but I can pick up more aramaic if I listen to it than I can hebrew.

  • It's so funny how I can speak Aramaic and I can understand this well. The first verse itself; Breshit, bara elohim at hashmaym wat-h arad.

In Aramiac: Breshiet, braleh Alaha ishmaya wai ard.

  • So how different is the Modern hebrew from Biblical Hebrew.

  • @geisterbahn1

it's like comparing between Shakespeare's enligsh and the modern english

  • He at least distinguishes ayin from aleph and heth from khaph, but does not pronounce the thaw (taw without daghesh), ghimel, or dhaleth. also, he pronounces waw as vav.

  • @TheCommentator3141 For those I think you have to go to Yemenite Jewish pronunciation (if you can still find any).

  • Great; Great; great! You should do the whole Bible like this on you-tube.

  • so very beaytiful. HALELUYAH YAHWEY OUR ELOHIM.....

  • good speaking

  • @elmdub so true, none of that stuff that actually sound German. This is real Hebrew here, so sad that so few still speak it. Proud to say, my mom is one of them.

  • this is true Hebrew none of that cornball hebrew that sounds like french!

This is true Hebrew here people cherish it and learn..

  • @elmdub True. It's pretty much impossible to always talk like that though.

  • gave me goosebumps

  • The pronounciation is a bit different from modern Hebrew. In modern Hebrew alef and ayin sound the same, resh is in the back of the throat, and there are no reduction or short vowels anymore.

  • Thank you! I loved every word of it!

  • The Hebrew language is so beautiful!

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • Absolutely beautiful.
