So I've got a question. I Have an 850 turbo, and I straight piped it with a resonator in the middle. It sounds great inside, but outside it sounds pretty dull. Any ideas on how to get a throatier sound out of it?

Not sure what you could do. This is a single muffler setup as well and seems to be quite throaty. Most 850's I've seen sound fairly similar with a single muffler setup. This is a 3" turbo back exhaust. Maybe increase the size of the exhaust if you haven't.

Yes, one 3" Remus muffler. 3" turbo-back exhaust.

It was expensive. Over $225 USD. It was a custom order through Remus. Sometimes they show up on Ebay.

The headlights are black jewel lights you can get on ebay. I think they go for $325 US. The HIDs are pretty cheap at $75-90.

Hope it's a different story in europe ( holland ) I don't even own a volvo yet, i wasnt sure weither to go for a 530D 540i BMW, or the volvo T5, the BMW has much more luxury and class but also lots of problems and they dont come in cheap aswell. I've read some positive things about volvo hope they are as solid as they look!

They are definitely solid but custom turbo stuff starts to get expensive. Over there I'd think you can get more parts and cheaper parts from European sources, especially Sweden. Basic mods though are fairly easy to do and don't cost much.

What Zaitz says is correct! One simple mod is to fit an MBC and boost the turbo pressure, but no more than 13.5psi on a standard T5 or you melt pistons and bend rods! Gives really good results if you're careful :-)

nice t5 sounds great. Keep killin ricers but do it gently it might be their first time, and also make sure to do it from front first if you nail them from the back first you might tear them a new one.

They are both working. The left one was aimed lower than the right one by quite a bit at the time.

pretty damn serious i have a 95 850 N/A and am looking to buy an exhaust i wanna buy a flow master cause i need a baffle im going to go 2.25" should i get a different exhaust for it to sound nice if i need baffled cause im not turbod

Since you are going baffled the flowmaster should be good. I have never really heard them on Volvos, mainly because the turbo crowd goes with straigh through design Magnaflows and Borlas. But I am sure the flowmaster will give the car a nice tone.

Dyno'd 250whp and 290wtq on a bad tune with a wastegate that was too small so it was fading boost.

Replacing a blown head gasket right now with a 3 layer one and ARP studs. Also had the head ported more and new cams. Had some problems with spark blowout. Hopefully I can get that resolved and the car is good for 320whp easily, just need to figure out why it didn't hit that before. Maybe it had to do with the head gasket.
