  • That had to of been just a friggin blast being able to race at mid ohio!! It sure looked like fun!

  • hey i remeber u i meet u at a race i was with brain zwart

  • Can you tune as much power out of the engines as you like? (air filters, exhaust, carbs etc - As long as the two engines cc is 100cc?

  • This dude sucks =/

  • zimdy geeks

  • Good job getting back those positions but, why did you head in after 1 lap?

  • What kind of camera and where is it mounted at?

  • It's a small Samsung Sports Camcorder (can't remember model number) but its no longer produced. It has a small external cam unit mounted right in front of the steering wheel on the column fairing in this vid.

  • wow, that shit is awsome...loved it..saw them years ago at MOSPORT..good driving as well :-)

  • Man you're lucky, I would LOVE to do something like this. But go-karting isn't big in the pacific northwest :(

Probably has to do something with all the rain, lol

  • What type of camera did you use, ti was sharp?

  • did you fly in the pits because you overcooked the carousel ?

  • Driver change due to injury.

  • what transmission do these use?

    CVT? Constant rpm like scooter.

    Also 2 exhausts 2 engines?

  • Correct. 2 exhaust, 2 engines.

I'm not really sure what scooters use so I wouldnt comment on that.

It is possible to run these direct drive, but as denoted in the vid info, each engine has a clutch on the solid rear axle that is adjustable to engage at whatever the desired RPM.

  • scooters like snowmobiles have a cvt transmission, belt drive with variable pulleys for gears.

So these r just direct drive apart from a clutch u say?

    what type of engines?

  • There are warious types of kart engines. These are Italian engines from IAME (Parilla). Specifically, they are 100cc air-cooled 2-cycle controlled engines.

  • My friend raced a kart in UK.

It had a parilla engine and disc valve inlet and was 100cc, he also had rotax and comer or comet? and tkm.

They had direct drive and no clutch, have to lifte back end and drop to start after pushing!

    They revved upto nerly 22,000rpm!

they didnt last long between piston changes etc! R these similar engines?

He races rotax 125 now, revving to only about 14,000rpm!

  • Yes similar engines. Although they dont roadrace these karts in Europe. Mostly sprint racing over there where you must rev high. I have touched 19000 once or twice but usually 15 or 16K.

  • @tpvalley centrifugal clutch

  • they must have a variable puller belt drive by the sounds of them also?

    like a snowmobile?

  • That was cool. I just put a new Rotax on my Beril

  • Did you pit one lap one?

  • Due to an injury, we had to do one lap for points and change drivers.
