A gas operated abrasive saw could cut it open like a can of tuna. I'm willing to bet it uses a cheap locking mechanism so you could punch the locking pins back into the safe door in a matter of minutes.. Those electronic key pads actuate a solenoid.. drill into the front and pull out the wiring, start applying a 9volt and I bet the actuator opens the lock ;) Cool design and all but not the best safe available.
I beg to differ. The time that you had them stop attempting to enter the safe was around 8min, not 12 as he said in the video. Nobody would own a safe like this without bolting it down.. If it's not bolted down than 2 thugs and a dolly could have it out of the house in seconds and then spend all day opening it at home. Secondly these guys are amateurs. A prybar attack on a safe with 3ga steel is a waste of time. I know for a fact that a torch could have some nice cuts in that safe pretty quickly
Amateurs! If the safe was stabilized there would be a different outcome. I imagine if you put that energy into splitting the seem at the barrel and door assembly it would be ope by now.
When the burglars see Pendleton, they just bring a cutting torch and cut the front off. Then leave with the valuables while your house burns down. ;)
I hate these type of video's, I'd love to see them try with the safe bolted to the floor and from the looks of a "round" safe who'da thunk it would roll.....
these video's are kinda worthless. set up any safe in any home, secured to the floor and then try and break them open... little different than rolling one around and laying it on it's back if it's square.
i love the basic idea of this safe, a round safe with rotating interior and why didn't anybody make the intererior of safe -white- before?. But pretty obviously the fact that it rolls would be a trivial issue in putting a pry bar into the door. It's hard to see if they're really unable to get into that crack or just playing with the fact that the safe can roll. And someone with the chutzpah to start on a safe isn't going to be the sort to end the engagement by whacking it like a drum ;)
@Galt425 replying to myself here to say that the first time I watched youtube seemed to show me the whole thing but hadn't. Wish my safe had the smaller crack that this ones door does.
I would think by the 4 minute mark the home owner would have heard what was going on and confronted them with a 12 gauge. Is this the base model and how much?
Gee, too bad they didnt have anything like a wall and large piece of furniture to wedge it upright with. Good thing there isnt anything like that in, say, a house, lol. ;p
Still, a good video.
I would have liked to see them work that wedge on the weld between the doorframe and cylinder. It would capture the wedge tip perfectly and let you get good hits with the sledge.
And having more than 3 guys is a waste, they were in each others way constantly.
Genius design...you can not get leverage to pry the door open because the safe will always roll when you apply force. Now i need to find the Fire resistant video.

@creatine64 I'd like to see their competitors try to break it open. These guys have no incentive to do it fast.

I cut the parts he rolls and I also cut the other parts for these safes. They are built tough.

I roll the safe here in sumter sc. You will not find a better safe than this. A lot goes into building these safes.
