@saznoozalot ....everything?? I agree when it comes to their classical music and i love their crazy Bollywood films..their saris..food..hm..wisdom..but ...never mind..India is a blessing anyway!
Excellent Jugalbandi of Old GOLDEN TIME.... 1970s-to 1990s was such a beautiful time. Life was so simple, everybody had ample time to walk, to mix with others & not just talk like idiots on cellphones or work like donkeys or sit in front of idiot box........

Yes, wonderful. Whether it is Vilayat Khan is doubtful, but possible, but it is definitely not Shanta Prasad on tabla - he is much more refined. The tabla sounds like Bismillah's usual tabla players from his family :-)
Thank you! I have noticed the play style and interpretations change with time but since i´m not an expert in any ways its hard for me to tell. I prefer the style in the elder recordings. It feels they were in no rush, had all the time in the world for the raga to develope to its fullest blossom.
@summelum - well, on second listening, I agree it is Vilayat Khan on sitar. (But not Shanta Prasad on tabla). There was an old LP (1962) called Jugalbandhi as far as I remember - with the three - Vilayat, Bismillah and Shanta Prasad - absolutely wonderful - most of the numbers reissued on CD by EMI 1996, titled "Inspiration - India". Chaiti Dhun from here is on YouTube.
Happy to hear that - even in persian languange!
