  • Nice

  • Where is this in mass?

  • what are some shred spots in western mass?

  • Check out my longboarding montages <3

  • im scared that a car will come around the corner

  • longboarding is sick just got a new board

  • what camera did you use?

  • Hey I'm looking for dh board I'm going to be going around 30mhp but I also want to be able to use it for transportation and around low 300 dollars could you recommend trucks and wheels. And I can't slide but I'm going to learn. Thank you

  • How do you get so fast? By the way your're really good!

  • How would you slow down if there was a deer in the street or something? What can you do at those speeds? I havent touched a longboard but I really wanna do downhill, but I also wanna know that I can stop when a deer jumps out :p Any recommendations for the cheapest board I can get?

  • @turtleman220 Sliding and footbraking my friend! Earthwing makes really high quality affordable boards (usually $100 or less), that's what I'm riding in this video. You can find decent wheels for about $25 on skateboards[dot]com, decent trucks will run you $40-50 and you can just get cheap bearings, I run cheap house bearings in all my trucks. No need to waste money on fancy bearings. For great deals, you can check silverfishlongboarding[dot]com Classifieds, usually good used decks for sale!

  • @emgeemann Is there anything wrong with buying completes? I found an Atom drop through on amazon for 100 bucks complete, is that good to start out with?

  • @emgeemann honestly the only thing you should spend good money on is bearings. you will notice a difference in speed. i was wondering why you guys were going pretty slow on those hills.

  • @longboarding1992 I strongly disagree. These are mellow hills, their max speeds aren't very high. Our tucks weren't ideal, so we could have gone faster with improvements in tucking, but bearing would make an extremely minute difference, especially at these speeds. Patrick Switzer, top downhiller in the world, runs cheap shop bearings.

  • @emgeemann you can get really good bearings called bones reds for like 10 bucks

  • @kingbadass2 Yeah reds are nice. Reds are usually more like $15 though. Fanciest bearings I'm willing to buy.

  • @emgeemann Nah you gotta get the bones reds swiss ceramics only like $104 no biggy :)

  • @emgeeman different opinions i guess. and yea those hills look bigger than they are i guess. for me i increased about 5 mph with better bearings.

  • @turtleman220 earthwing supermodel caliber trucks soft riptide bushings abec 11 flashbacks

  • check out my channel at lslongboardteam we are about to release the first video

  • what type of wheels are these and wear can i get them?

  • @adamlocke23 I'm riding Orangatang 4presidents; Russ is on Orangatang Stimulus. You can get them at orangatangwheels[dot]com

  • please check out my Chanel and tell me what you think and what i can do to improve please

  • Hey at that speed, is it really even possible to try and slide it out if your get in trouble? What can you do if you gotta stop, you cant really footbrake at 25 plus, and I cant do a slide going 35 plus. Sick video dude

  • @themichaelnuckles You can definitely slide at that speed, but it's a little sketchier and will require some more distance to slow down. But it's definitely possible to both footbrake and slide at 40+. If I had time, I'd probably airbrake a bit to drop some speed then slide.

  • how do you like the bell drop helmet?

  • @telorgoodchap8 Cheap and rock-solid. It's more protective than aero helmets, although it is a bit larger and heavier. For the money, you can't beat it.

  • This is the perfect place to grow marijuana

  • Dude. I love IPath's. my preferred riding shoe.

  • @shikyo1223 and they got your lil stash spot under the tongue, i love my ipaths, both pairs <3

  • @adamlocke23 Righttt? I got the original grasshoppers, buying the white ones soon <3

  • what camera???

  • @wmalongboarding Canon SD870is. Great camera for the money!

  • sadly, i am moving out of shirley to wilmington, where theres no hills :,(

  • i actually thought that was Patrick Switzer because of the fullbag elise and the nike high tops

  • @puppagiseppi those are ipaths

  • Hey dudes! me and my buds live near boston and we'r wonderin where this is man?? id love to rock it.

  • If so please tell me what I should get

  • OK I just got the switch from.landyachtz it has bear 452 grizzly trucks abec 7 speed bearings and zombie hawgs 84a 76mm wheels should I get a better set up for downhill/free ride?

  • @hoffington92 Classic Big zigs

  • I Live in Massachusetts Lets Hope i can find this place <3 :D

  • That is an amazing hill! where do you live????

  • what kind of longboard do you have? I just got one and when I get up to those speeds my board starts to wobble !and lose control no matter how still I am!

  • @indig0Childr3n One of them has a fullbag elise. It sounds so me like one of the following:

    A) You need to tighten your trucks

    B) You need wheels with more grip (i.e. sharp not rounded edge)

    C) more confidence, because 80% of the time wobbles happen because in your head you feel like you're going too fast and you're out of control

    D) You might have to work on a more stable tuck

    E) You didn't say what type of deck, wheels, or trucks you have..I'm assuming your deck might be too flexy maybe

  • please tell me...can i do this with a skateboard if i change to bigger wheels?

  • @FIVOS45 NO! the trucks will be to lose. You will get massive speed wobble before you get anywhere near those speeds. I have a beginner longboard and i get speed wobble at around 30 mph. You also dont have as much stability as skateboards are smaller and better bearings will aslo be needed. TBH it is just easier to buy a longboard.

  • @Spoonclan thank you for the answer, but i am talking about downhills that you get like 10 mph max. i will probably bust my butt trying to get speed more than 10mph..

  • cool vid

    lame song

  • i saw there Fullbag Elise P-Swiss Model.. ;) good one.. and Paris trucks i got those too.. ;) good luck with riding!! :)

  • i've been scared to go fast since monday. i was being pulled up a street holding on to my friends window. it's a really rough street and my board started to shake i let go and then went down. got road rash all under my armpit and my chin has a big gash. i hate going fast

  • @Aa1133Cc Going fast and skitching are two entirely different things. Namely, you should regularly do the former, and never the latter. Skitching is dangerous and lots of people get rocked while doing it, including yourself.

  • @emgeemann where is this in harvard me and my friend want to hit it with our r5's

  • @Aa1133Cc That's why you don't skitch. When you are holding onto a car you get all your stability from it. As soon as you let go, you're screwed.

  • @Aa1133Cc Just do it with a downhill longboard and you'll be fine.

  • @Aa1133Cc even if you fell once you need to keep going thats what i have been doing all my life

  • @Aa1133Cc i used to be scared of going fast.. but i found some hills which have an uphill at the bottom so you dont have to slow dows because the hill does it for you.. when you know slowing down is easy to do your not worried about going fast.. it gets your confidence up to start sliding and foot breaking

  • @Aa1133Cc Dont worrie bro. Once you start getting better, fast speeds to you right now will seem slow.

  • i think i know what colloge im going to

  • Where ever you live man you got some good streets to ride.

  • @Mysterylabel I'm not complaining!

  • @emgeemann Central Ma FTW

  • Can you tell me which longboard i should get

  • @phiamqaib15 what you want to do?

  • GREAT ONE mate! keep them coming :D

  • @cookie8028 Check out a couple new edits on my channel!

  • @emgeemann What happens if you hit a fair sized rock or pot hole or something? I have never longboarded before and I'm trying to convince my parents lo let me get one. But I have to know what im getting into before.

  • @OxygenMcgee well this guy is rlly good, for ur first year u probably wont break 30. longboardings realy fun, just get a nice sector nine cruiser, and expand from there. P.S. IMO Loaded longboards are not great fro the amount they cost. i would advise staying away from them

  • sweet rasta ipaths

  • IM IMPATIENT!!!!!!!!!

  • @guerraestelar1 ever held a camera going downhill? scary as fuck so enough with the gay smily faces

  • longboards the new cars

  • Why dont you use Otang in heats? Arent they easier to ride on? And theyre softer grippier and faster

  • wtf 2:58, guy flips us off XD

  • maybe it was just the different times of the day for the different shots.. but try and set your white balance haha

  • Man them blacks is way cool ! ! !

  • @guerraestelar1 It's cool man, but now I dislike you :)

  • looks fun

  • Those look like some HELLA fun hills man haha, wooo

  • Is the Fullbag Elise P-Swiss good for downhill.

  • Dude I live in arlington mass which is sick for boarding but you should check out dover ma there is really fun smooth freeride hills

  • @lpratt67 Im going to dover this summer. My grandparents live there, and i was wondering if you might want to meet up sometime. Trying to locate the hills on gmaps is hard haha.

  • nice ipaths

  • are those yellow wheels o-tang stims?

  • At 1:23 the board looks sooooooooooo far off the ground

  • I have the Axis Koa by Arbor. I really want to start getting into more downhill riding, what would be a good set up for DH? I have stock bushings (have no idea what they are) and I have Gullwing Charger trucks which I'm not to fond off. Please help me out! lol

  • looks like some creep is following you in his van

  • 00:52 nice panning NOT lol

  • @RhysBinjammin Haha yeah... not the best

  • @emgeemann good vids tho i got to get some more downhill footage

  • @emgeemann Hey for the rider who has the paris195s. Do you like them? I was thinking of getting them for my demonseed. Thanks!

  • know any sick places to go in worcester? i may be going there for college coming from hills in california so i dont wanna miss out on my favorite passtime

  • @caseydillam I know that Holy Cross's campus is perched up on a pretty big hill, definitely some good riding there. It's a fairly hilly city, and right next door is fitchburg, the hilliest city in Massachusetts. You'll definitely have some proper shredding, just watch out for cars!

  • awesome rasta shoes!

  • Harvard Hills - Martial Arts Downhill Longboarding

  • do you and youre bud race, in competitions?/ are you sponsored in any way?

  • @justjoking23 I'm sponsored by Loaded & Otang, and I mostly just ride for fun. Same with Russ

  • @emgeemann And dude, this video is beautiful. There is nothing like bombing some beautiful long hills. No other feeling

  • what board do you prefer: earthwing mm or fullbag elise? for downhill

  • @skataboyjake I prefer the elise stock because the MM is a bit too long, but I recently cut down my MM to belly racer dimensions and I love iit now. So light, nimble and solid, it's a great topmount

  • @skataboyjake i prefer arbor

  • that deck in the begging looks like a freeboard without the center wheels....but sick man

  • Awesome!!! and good luck!!!!!

  • not to be a dick but your tuck is pretty bad. sorry :/

the air pocket between your legs is huge you should bring your knee into the back of the other knee so there is no space, not by your foot. and bring your chest down to your your knees leaving no space, keep your back straight and bring you back/ass up high

    just so friendly criticism :)

  • @xjustlongboardx Yeah this is when I was starting to do downhill so my tuck was a work in progress, I've got it sorted out now

  • @emgeemann how long is this hill?

  • @agapeliveslove1 about 1.5mi including the flat middle section

  • this song is soooo good! whats the name of the band???

  • @therealhns Massive attack. Love em!

  • music?

  • I never get thumbs-up =(

  • What trucks are u using on the elise?

  • @longboarderparis180 Randal 180s

  • Are those 108 or 195mm on the elise?

  • such steeze:)

  • I HAVE THOSE RED NIKES! :D

  • song ????? lol

  • @jacsostilllives Massive Attack: Girl I Love You

  • Hey nice video! Also are the paris 195 as carvable as the paris 180 since it is a wider truck? Or is there a big difference between both?

  • @ItalianGamer360 They are a bit more stable and carve deeper, but since they're wider they have a bit slower response. I like that because it means they're a bit less "twitchy" and more fit for downhill. The difference isn't huge, but I really like the 195s. Also, they're less prone to wheelbite since the wheels are farther from the center of the board

  • difference between yellow and purple stimulus ? pleeease, it would be helpful....

  • @TriforceMat Yellow are a harder durometer (86a), which means they are less grippy, more slidey than the softer 83a purple stims. They're both fun freeride wheels, and the softer wheel will be a slightly cushier ride but won't slide quite as fast or far.

  • this isn't too far from where i live..

  • Comment removed

  • @longboarderparis180 It will be stable, but it depends on whether you like deep drops or not. I personally don't.

  • gotta love massachusettes... checkout some of my vids got some boston sspots

  • the elise is balls

  • hey are the randal 180mm 50* good for bombing cuz i know they're not as stable as 42* but i noticed you were doing fine and you have a top mount and i have a drop through so they should be totally fine right? cuz i don't really feel like flipping them....thanks

  • @junglehead4 As long as you're comfortable on them, you're fine. I only like DHing on 50*s

  • you guys defo have fullbags =D

  • whats the setup for the elise? do you get wheelbite cause i do on mine...

  • @mcjimmy3333 Randal 180s with 90a venom barrels front, 93a venom barrels rear. 70mm otang stims, 86a.

  • @mcjimmy3333 Dude. I have the same problem with mine as well. I finally got it so that it doesn't, but it's really restrictive now because of it ...

  • what are leathers?

  • @evanloveslife A protective leather suit, similar to what motorcycle racers wear - they save you from road rash in hard falls

  • @emgeemann thank you sir!

  • @emgeemann hard falls bro lol ive gone down going like 25 and messed up my knees haha i cant efford leathers haha knee pads do teh trick lol nice rideing btw keep it up

  • Representing east coast! :D

  • Ive skated there!

  • hey where in massachusetts is that?

  • @AnSiberianGnomes as the title say, harvard MA

  • Where is this at? State and Area?

  • That was pretty cool, you prolly hit 50 on one of those hills! Good tucks tho, now all you need is leathers!

  • @tayler0528 Yeah man the hill at 2:05 is pretty damn steep, clocked at 49-50 mph peak, thanks for the comment! I really want leathers too, just wish they werent so damn expensive

  • @emgeemann just buy a cheap 2 piece for now. you can pick em up for like $125 brand new. it's better than nothin. my friend races in a 2 piece and it works just fine.

  • what duro are the shr's

  • @lakai958 88a

  • song?

  • @lakai958 Massive Attack - Girl I love you

  • Good vid. Except for some not so good panning but other then that pretty decent

  • @sheagoertz thanks man. and yeah the tripod panning was sub-par but oh well...

  • if you brought ur chin to ur knee u would go faster

  • ill join. i live in shirley/ayer.

well after i put on new tape.

  • @nineball87 Dope dude! Come out to our event on August 21st. DH race, freeride, flatland competitions, all on a closed road with tons of sponsored prizes. $10 entry and free food and plenty-o-stoke

  • @emgeemann yea the guys at eastern boarder said its been goin on for a couple years. is it an open entry? idk if im doing dh or freeride tho. but ill definately ride. ill probably bring my honey velocity

  • @nineball87 It's actually the first time it'll be running. I'm the organizer and it's been a ton of work but if all goes well we'll definitely be doing it big next year too! Check the facebook event (search central MA DH & freeride event it should show up) so you can RSVP. it's open entry, $10 if you compete.

  • @emgeemann im coming too!

gonna bring my earthwing supercharger with r II 180's and in heats

  • Aye, I just got the Elise not long ago. I had such a hassle setting it up so it wouldn't get wheel bite. Did you have this issue?!

Also, did you have to flip the back truck to get it to 35*?

  • @Glitch2000 Flipping Randals just lowers them, not the angle. I'm using a 28* baseplate wedged to 35*. Also, I find it impossible to bite on the Elise, even with Bigzigs, and I run my trucks LOOSE. Maybe you are running lower trucks than you are meant to. The Elise is a board meant to be high off the ground. Also, my wheelbase is redrilled, so that could have something to do with it.

  • Mike, Ryan Williams here, where r u in the first scene? looks like the fire house or the Stone's road

  • @sailack0915 Local cemetary, you can see the headstones in the second shot

  • @emgeemann ohhh, i thought it was a electrical box. thanks

  • Do you set up a Woodside detour on the West Barehill run?

  • @AbnormalNO I've hit woodside a good amount, but the 4 runs in this video were actually my first times hitting the crazy steep drop on bare so I haven't linked them yet. Not a bad idea though!

  • Where in harvard are these hills?

  • Laura, Russ and Mike, nice job and editing. I don't want to be a "kill-joy" here but I assume those streets were NOT closed down for filming. If that's the case it would take only one distracted lady on a cell phone or fussing with her kid in a car seat to back out of those driveways and kill you on the spot. The sport of downhill longboarding needs to set up organized meets where streets can be safely closed off. Encouraging young dudes to take to the streets with traffic is asking 4 trouble.

  • @brassspitoon You're right but Laura was actually stopping cars on that real fast hill. I do agree though, but alas, streets can't always be closed and as such, the sport comes with inherent risks.

  • @brassspitoon If only the sport were popular enough to get that kind of support. As it is, it's take to the streets, or quit.

  • how to u like the paris 195?

  • DH on 86a stims. DAMN.
