I don''t know why Emiri got the call after Mimiko died within the computer..

But if the teacher didn't take the phone of students the chosen student would still die because its her/his phone. (if the guy didn't take the phone Emiri would die.)

Thats why the students wanted their phones back so they could sent it to someone else

@bmwookie I think that Mimiko didn't really die. She had already been dead. I think the computer was just one of the things she used to get to that group of students using Asuka's hate for them. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the name Mimiko was in the second movie too. If she's not, the ghost there had the same type of method, but didn't use a computer or a girl in a coma to get her victims.

But Mimiko was still alive after overheat,and killed the guy instead of Emiri.

Someone who get the cell phone replaces the target person.

Then those students didn't have to get back their cell phones from the teacher,coz he would be dead instead of them.

@TheEd955 That is from the first movie. Mimiko suffered from Münchhausen-Stellvertreter-Syn­drom, meaning she would hurt her younger sister, so she could care for her and be a devoted sister. And every time she was hurting her sister, she gave her a red candy afterwards, telling her to "get better really soon". All of mimikos victims had a red candy in their mouths.

Wow! That was some crazy ish! Why are Foreign movies so much better than US movies! I swear! And I just barely got that Jang Geun Seuk was actually really playing a deaf person in here! I thought they were just using sign language to communicate.It was a bit confusing in the beginning though. So is the ending.Why's she in a wheelchair?

Horikita Maki, Jang Geun Seuk, and Erika Asakura in one. Although I can honestly say that it was not scary. More like unrealistic. A bit cheesy but good acting.
