cool, good guitar, but anyone who buys a sig model guitar is set up to be a "wannabe faggot" and for its price you have a huge selection of other guitars out there. btw an american strat + Billy's lace sensor pickups, (UHHHHH, which is what he used on most albums) will cost you alot less than buying his "sig Strat".

@777Lateralus Not that much less. This signature is going for 1500 and an american strat is 1000. Lace Sensor Red-Silver-Blue is 150 so it's only 350 more for the Corgan model. The pickups on the Corgan are unique to this guitar only, plus it's a signature model, so what do you expect the price to be?

Most versatile strat out there, period... forget it if you don't like Corgan... it doesn't matter... switching allows infinite tonal possibilities with the split rail buckers... you can go from shimmering clean to infinite sustain, if you know what you're doing with the selector and volume knob... if you don't, you probably aren't capable of appreciating an instrument of the caliber... buy a Tremonti signature model piece of crap & lock yourself in a room so the rest of us don't have to hear you

WRONG! HotRails are Duncans, these are DiMarzios. The bridge and neck are special Billy Corgan special design, and the middle is a DiMarzio chopper.

I friggin hate signature guitars but this is probably the easiest way to get a hardtail strat ATM with humbuckers in it. Its not that bad of a value either.

After 15 minutes of playing I asked them to keep it behind the counter for me, traded in my old strat and put the extra money to it. I have never regretted trading. Not even for a second.

Personally I would go with lower output dimarzio rail design pickups. My favorite combo is the chopper(bridge), cruiser(mid), cruiser(neck). Louder than stock, but closer to a strat sound.

I play death metal to european goth to metal and even Jazz, I tried this guitar and without being bias its an excellent guitar even for Metal! You just need to change the Pick ups to your likings and tone, other than that I played with a Boogie, it huge!

really? EMG's are great what ever style you play, very versatile pickups, but most frequently used by rock/metal guitarist's (like my self)

my tele's got a black hardtail bridge, they're really nice...another great feature of the jim root tele (and there are so many :P) are the schaller/fender locking tuners, they keep the tele well in tune + there's no string wrapped around, so its nice and clean at the headstock :D

what i don't like about trem's (floyd rose's) is how complicated they are :P

i don't usually like emgs, because they sound too muddy for me. plus, any time i have a guitar with emgs, people want to point out that i'm not playing heavy metal/shred with them. it gets annoying.

i hate trems period, because they invariably detune the guitar, in my experience.

i love locking tuners, but i screwed up two sets of schallers. don't ask how, i just know i did. XD
