That is Diana Vishneva, guesting, i'm sure!! The fouttes are the russian techinque (throug plie in a la seconde).....the other way, you do like a tan releve, wich means you releve in a la seconde before you pull in, instead of pliè (in a la seconde) like the russian version. Have a look at aurelie dupont doing the same coda...and you'll se what I mean. It's just different schools and requires a different coordination!

These are not Russian fouettes. With Russians, you almost stop in plie in second; she's coming through fourth, just doing it very quickly. What I find amazing is the arm with the fan kept in high fifth throughout the single fouettes, so no help at all with the momentum of the arm passing through second. Wow!

I'm certain that's the Paris Opera Ballet and that is Diana Vishneva guesting. Fouettes are Russian (extension in seconde only)

I think it is the Paris Opera Ballet. She isn't doing Russian Fouettes so I doubt she is a russian dancer unless she was guesting somewhere and the costume and set looks like the Paris Opera version.

It is Diana Vishneva. I am absolutely sure. I was in that performance and have program with cast untill today. She was guest and partner is Martinez. It was Nureyevs production with new set and costum design by russian designers. Diana was live realy very, very good Kitri.

i don't know for sure but it looks like elisabeth platel! i say this only cos i was looking at her face (well trying whilst she was doing fouettes) and i think it looks like her. i could be wrong though!

thats not sylvie guillem. sylvie guillem doesn't do russian fouettes. and sylvie guillem's feet are naturally flexible.

@foxiangel I think this diana vinesheva not sylvie, sylvie does not do voganava style fouettees, and sylvies hair is always a shade of red there are alot of clues that this is not her.

Better than Sylvie Guillem!

Because Diana is ALWAYS keep unique style for each different ballet:

she is real Kitri in DQ,

she is real Odille/Odette in Swan Lake,

she is real Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, etc!

Diana knows & keeps very carefully different styles for different ballets as NOBODY else, especially S. Guillem who often just about extentions, balance and OFTEN doesn't know & forgets about particulat style for some ballets!
