Nice guns. My friend in NY loves them, but their gun laws are so tough, it's not even worth getting one, since you can never carry a gun outside. That's really something. Only in NY can you own a gun, but you cannot take it outside your house LOL.
nice shooting! after being in the Marines and using an M16/M4 shooting 5.56 what makes people want to but the .22 M4's? Just curious why these are very popular... is it because they are cheaper for both the rifle and ammo?
@GeekTechMac1 Yeah, if you shoot say 1000 rounds of .22's you're going to pay 50 dollars. 1000 rounds of 5.56 is going to put a hole in around 500 bucks, as much as the .22 rifle itself. That's why they're popular.
@tonky10 i got one to hunt small game at home. i wouldnt want to stake my life on it in a zombie attack, its to small,BUT this sum bitch is spot on accurate. everytime i take it to the range and share it with other shooters, regardless of ability, they put rounds in the bullseye. accurate but not very powerfull is your dilema. if zombies were a problem id go for the groin/gut,knees, and the lights out head shot. dont forget the double tap rule. personally id keep it and add a shotgun.
@benlomondairsoftteam nope this gun kinda sucks lol, i have it, jams alot if you use bulk ammo, wobbly ass stock too, i dont like it at all and its expensive
love the video, and the gun.. i wound up buying two of the mossberg tactical 22's myself for under $500 so i could goto the range with my father sometimes. im just curious if theres any real reason why you choose this gun over the smith and wesson m&p version? ive read about some people complaining about accidental firing upon misfeeds with the smith.. thanks for the video..
I want to get one of these. I have several other guns, but even 9mm is expensive compared to 22LR. If I go to the range shooting 9mm, I spend $100 in less than an hour for ammo, but could go to Big5 and get 1500 or more rounds of 22 for the same price and shoot all day long. These rifles cost twoce as much as a conversion for a regular AR15, but the action is designed for 22LR and doesn't require the expensive 22 ammo, which pays for itself if you shoot alot. 22s are great practice/fun guns
So you're at a gun safety course, but yet after your first 30 rounds, instead of pointing the muzzle to the ground to check the chamber for it being clear, you point it to the sky and wave it around... Not very safe.
right that this one is licensed by colt make by umarex, and hte another one licensed by colt but made by walther, and what i have been able to notice is that the body of the umarex is the most similar to the m4, while the walther one, has the picatini rail straight from one end to another, while the umnarex has a cut, correct me if i'm wrong, i was considering the S&W but since colt looks more alike, but i wan't the one that looks the nearest to a m4
Coltm4 ammo is 5.56x45mm NATO (.22inch diameter bullet but longer compared to 0.22 pistol bullet). M4 has a range of 500meters point target & an area target range of 600m. An M16 5.56x45mm NATO bullet (a .22inch is equal to 5.56mm) has a greater range. A colt.45 has an effective range of only 50meters. The bullet of a 0.22 cal pistol/revolver is only 5.56x15mm (0.22 inch diameter & 15mm long) and is used for plinking. A platoon with colt m4 will massacre a battalion with colt 0.45!!
This is a non restricted rifle right? in Canada?...I think all rim fire rifles can hold as many bullets as possible and not be restricted. Anyone know?
Another great thing about the .22 is if you happen to be a poor bastard like me who likes to surf, snowboard, and ride dirtbikes. Your only real option is to live in California. And thanks to our ridiculous gun laws I can't own a semi automatic rifle larger than a .22
There is a very obvious reason that they make this gun in .22 caliber, which you would know if you have ever purchased a box of 5.56 ammunition... IT'S CHEAP TO SHOOT!!! that's the entire reason they make almost any assault rifle or smg in a .22 version, so that you can afford to shoot it without spending a fortune. It has nothing to do with using a .22 to kill someone, it's all about learning to use the weapon, having all of the same controls, without breaking the bank.
I personally do not like the Colt M4 because of the no slide lock lever but as long as long as you like that is great, keep the shooting sport a sport. I have the MP 15-22
all of colts umarex rifles are a peace,s of shit. The barrels are a tiny tubes barely large enough for the rifling process. they have a barrel shroud put over the top of them to give the illusion of being made from a barrel blank. once you separate the upper from the lower receiver you can see the real cheap shit junk parts.Pot metal castings that will break if dropped hard on a cement floor cheap junk rifles. Buy a real ar-15 22 get the ATI -vk 22 its the real deal. Mil spec lower multi cal
OH MY GOD a m4 22 that rifle is like a fucking toy to me. You cant have a 22 in your hands thinking that your a badass the gun sucks. I know what is better then a 22. A Saiga AK-47 223 andI added some Tapco parts on it that I ordered it off the enternet. Proud AK-47!
.22 is a deadly caliber because when the bullet penetrates your body it doesn't go in and out cleanly like a bigger caliber would. Instead it bounces around your body slicing through everything it runs into until it finds an exit. I know a guy that was hit on the ankle with a .22 and it exited out of his thigh and he has a scar to prove it. However this M4 .22 was made for target practice and training purposes and nothing more.
My rifle really likes Blazer ammo. I have the bolt screwed all the way down, and federal ammo HV still jams it, but the blazer runs perfect. The only difference is the grain, blazer is 40 grain, and the federal was 36...
i would certainly like to own a "tactical" style .22 just for the fun of shooting. i own a few other fire arms, but none are as fun to shoot as a good old .22. with a stevens model 300 .22 im hitting soda cans at 175 yards pretty consistently

i'd like to point out for u that he was seriously damaged from that 9 mil attack. Its not like he was A OK. But he was a soldier. He stayed in the street and it killed him. Lotsa deaths out here in the big city. Most of em dont mean shit to the cops or the system in general. Its a fact
@grungadin You're more than welcome to look that shit up. My friends name was Paul Trevino. He died in 1993 from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was shot at Dunkin Donuts on the corner of 31st st and Halsted ave in Chicago IL. This city had 900+ murders that year, and trust me when i tell u that not all of em made news. Especially since he lived for a month in ICU after he got gutshot. Or maybe look up his incident report for the 9 mil attack. We found him on 29th or maybe 28th
i'm not saying a .22 would be my first choice in home defense. it wouldnt be. my mossberg with bird shot would be. But, if my 22 was all i had, in the close quarters of my apartment and all the time i spend making my m&p 15-22 accurate and clean, I'm confident
@colbertnation I am extremely confident in cci ammunition, as i have ran thousands of those thru my m&p and my walther with no problems. I know my guns well, keep em clean, and trust all of em to save me in any situation. being a civilized human being, u come in my house, i feel very confident i could put my red dot on your chest and with 3 quick pulls all your problems would be over. But let me "get crazy" with an ak. why not kill a few neighbors, or better yet my own kids. fuck u
@colbertnation I own a ak, a rock river ar-15, a glock 23, a walther p22, a mossberg 500, and a S&W m&p 15-22. I have plenty of knowledge, and plenty of guns to fuck people up with if need be. I'm on the south side of chicago. No stranger to damage caused by bullets. I had a 22 lr come thru my living room window and go thru every room in my apartment. it ended up in my kids bedroom wall. I would never dream of discharging a high powered rifle inside my fuckin house are u goofy or what?
I know someone that survived an attack. He was shot 15 times with a nine millimeter beretta. The man shot him point blank all over his body, including 3 head injuries. He survived and would still be walkin around today. But, he was shot once in the gut years later with an 1895 7 shot .22 and it killed him. I hate when people underplay .22s like they aint shit. Imagine breakin into a home and a sleepy man comes out of his bedroom and shoots you 24 times in a 3 inch group center mass with t
@ucantcloneme Nicely said theyre lethal and the low recoil means u can get an amazing grouping from close range so all those rounds straight in ur chest like to see someone get back up lol would rather a fucker came at me with a knife atleast then you have a chance, but the best bit yet i can buy this legally in the UK!
I don't get it. What's the point of this gun in .22? Why would you spend so much on a gun that can only be used for plinking and small animals? I buy my weapons with the realization that I may have to use them for self defense one day. Who cares if the ammo is cheaper than a .223? I'd rather have the .223 for self defense any day. If you want to shoot at pop cans and squirrels save your money and get an ordinary .22
@MFPWM2010 look it up, the .22 kills more people every year than any other caliber. They are plenty lethal. They're moving at 1,200+ fps. With good shot placement this will go right into the scull and bounce around without exiting. Plus it's a hell of a lot cheaper to shoot.
@eustispanther If it kills more people every year it's because it is such a widely-owned caliber and many people don't take a .22 serious enough. I never said a .22 won't kill you. A pellet gun will kill you if you're shot in the right place. However, if a .22 is so desirable then why don't any military or police agencies use them? Oh yeah, it's because they have no stopping power. Head shots aren't exactly easy when you're taking a quick shot under extreme stress...life is not a video game
@MFPWM2010 got that right but to me it is, ive endured so much shit that i cant find any thing else to do. after awhile of life sucking it does seem like a video game.
@2JuiceBoxBoys "5.56x45mm NATO (official NATO nomenclature 5.56 NATO) is a rifle cartridge developed in the United States and originally chambered in the M16 rifle. Under STANAG 4172, it is a standard cartridge for NATO forces as well as many non-NATO countries. It is derived from, but not identical to, the .223 Remington cartridge." It's in essence, a high powered 22. give or take a few fractions of a milimetre.
@2JuiceBoxBoys I'm not talking about the size of each round, because the 5.56 will obviously be bigger as it contains a larger load because it's designed to be high velocity. I am actualy refering to the calibre of the actual projectile that impacts the target. If you were to look it up you would see that the 5.56 is basicly a .22 with thicker brass, a larger more powerful load and a longer leade.
@MFPWM2010 Right but if you are firing off 10 rounds rapid fire in close quarters, you think a person trying to break in is going to keep coming at you not to mention if an attacker is hit say 3-4 times center mass, I think it will give a person and their family plenty of time to react and get to safety no to mention even kill the attacker.
@MFPWM2010 Actually no, it doesn't require just a head shot. And why do law enforcement and military agencies not use them? Because, true they aren't going to be punching through a car and come out the other end, but you don't need that for home defense. Also, they don't have the greatest range, once again you don't need that range for home defense.
No stopping power??? He said it kills more people than all other calibers combined. If that's true, I'd say it has more stopping power than all calibers combined. I'd agree with your statement, "Head shots aren't exactly easy when you're taking a quick shot under extreme stress." And I'd take that one step further and say any shot you take isn't easy when you're under extreme stress. That's why trigger time is so important. I can shoot 1000rnds for under $40. A 1000rnds of 5.56 is $800+.
@MFPWM2010 I don't know why you are talking about a .22 as a defensive weapon but alright. I buy .22 just for the purpose of target practice, run and guns, and plinking. Who are you to tell someone that it is a waist of money for these. If someone wants one then get it.
@MFPWM2010 Its a trainer, and the other comments are right. .22 does kill more people, but not just of any other caliber, but it kills more than all other calibers COMBINED. But again, as the other comments stated, shot placement becomes more important with the smaller round.
@MFPWM2010 man your right... im thinking of getting a rifle just for the reasons your saying now i saw this was soo cheap but i want something thats gonna save my life... and a little cheap at the same time what do you think???
@MFPWM2010 Hey man, how you spend your money is up to you. Some people like certain styles but don't want to spend the money it costs to shoot them. Not to mention not everyone wants a .223 (pea shooter) for self defense when they can get a shotgun for that. I shoot the real military M4 all the time, so having something cheaper for it can be a lot more fun.
@12343astronomer probably 'cause most .22's dont have recoil, its a low caliber. thats why kids use 'em. but they're also great plinking guns and good for critter control lol
how much does it cost??

@ucantcloneme there like that because a 22 is such a small bullet it often bounces around and hits vital organs and not exiting the body

MFPWM2010 1 year ago
@MFPWM2010 look it up, the .22 kills more people every year than any other caliber. They are plenty lethal. They're moving at 1,200+ fps. With good shot placement this will go right into the scull and bounce around without exiting. Plus it's a hell of a lot cheaper to shoot.
eustispanther 1 year ago 2
@eustispanther If it kills more people every year it's because it is such a widely-owned caliber and many people don't take a .22 serious enough. I never said a .22 won't kill you. A pellet gun will kill you if you're shot in the right place. However, if a .22 is so desirable then why don't any military or police agencies use them? Oh yeah, it's because they have no stopping power. Head shots aren't exactly easy when you're taking a quick shot under extreme stress...life is not a video game
MFPWM2010 1 year ago 9
@MFPWM2010 True about the head shots, but i mean how many rounds can a chest take?
shloth91 1 year ago
@MFPWM2010 I'm pretty sure that the US army uses a twenty-two round as their primary ammunition...

@MFPWM2010 got that right but to me it is, ive endured so much shit that i cant find any thing else to do. after awhile of life sucking it does seem like a video game.

@MFPWM2010 The 5.56 Nato round is a .22
kaching9999 9 months ago
@kaching9999 actually its not
2JuiceBoxBoys 9 months ago
@2JuiceBoxBoys "5.56x45mm NATO (official NATO nomenclature 5.56 NATO) is a rifle cartridge developed in the United States and originally chambered in the M16 rifle. Under STANAG 4172, it is a standard cartridge for NATO forces as well as many non-NATO countries. It is derived from, but not identical to, the .223 Remington cartridge." It's in essence, a high powered 22. give or take a few fractions of a milimetre.
kaching9999 9 months ago
@kaching9999 have you even held both rounds? its the difference between a nickel and a half dollar
2JuiceBoxBoys 9 months ago
@2JuiceBoxBoys I'm not talking about the size of each round, because the 5.56 will obviously be bigger as it contains a larger load because it's designed to be high velocity. I am actualy refering to the calibre of the actual projectile that impacts the target. If you were to look it up you would see that the 5.56 is basicly a .22 with thicker brass, a larger more powerful load and a longer leade.
kaching9999 9 months ago
@MFPWM2010 Right but if you are firing off 10 rounds rapid fire in close quarters, you think a person trying to break in is going to keep coming at you not to mention if an attacker is hit say 3-4 times center mass, I think it will give a person and their family plenty of time to react and get to safety no to mention even kill the attacker.
Andrew52690 8 months ago
@MFPWM2010 Actually no, it doesn't require just a head shot. And why do law enforcement and military agencies not use them? Because, true they aren't going to be punching through a car and come out the other end, but you don't need that for home defense. Also, they don't have the greatest range, once again you don't need that range for home defense.
SizzlinNinja 6 months ago
No stopping power??? He said it kills more people than all other calibers combined. If that's true, I'd say it has more stopping power than all calibers combined. I'd agree with your statement, "Head shots aren't exactly easy when you're taking a quick shot under extreme stress." And I'd take that one step further and say any shot you take isn't easy when you're under extreme stress. That's why trigger time is so important. I can shoot 1000rnds for under $40. A 1000rnds of 5.56 is $800+.
Elstady 5 months ago
@MFPWM2010 I don't know why you are talking about a .22 as a defensive weapon but alright. I buy .22 just for the purpose of target practice, run and guns, and plinking. Who are you to tell someone that it is a waist of money for these. If someone wants one then get it.
1Adrenoline1 1 year ago
@MFPWM2010 Its a trainer, and the other comments are right. .22 does kill more people, but not just of any other caliber, but it kills more than all other calibers COMBINED. But again, as the other comments stated, shot placement becomes more important with the smaller round.

@MFPWM2010 man your right... im thinking of getting a rifle just for the reasons your saying now i saw this was soo cheap but i want something thats gonna save my life... and a little cheap at the same time what do you think???
arnoldnavarro21 5 months ago
@MFPWM2010 The Israeli Mossad carry .22s for their choice of guns, and they are a highly respected organization. .22s are deadly rounds, seriously.
balisong929 5 months ago
@MFPWM2010 Hey man, how you spend your money is up to you. Some people like certain styles but don't want to spend the money it costs to shoot them. Not to mention not everyone wants a .223 (pea shooter) for self defense when they can get a shotgun for that. I shoot the real military M4 all the time, so having something cheaper for it can be a lot more fun.
syxtnyne69 4 months ago
Ok,... Now that we wasted plenty of rounds "How tight of a group can it shoot"?
I bought the M16SPR Model. I want to ry to shoot CCI Stingers through it. I will adjust it for the hotter ammo like they advertise.
