  • excellent lesson EXPLAINED well . and im not hatin on anyone but theres vids by the drum dept, great drummers showin incredible licks but they explain all over the kit not simple on just hi hat or snare like you. good job

  • Wow! That lick goes crazy! Been practicing this and got the concept down but struggling on the placement around the kit to make it sound musical as in your demo here! Any suggestions how I could do this?

  • two ways to make it sound more musical: 1. Play it as a hi hat, snare bass groove (no toms) along with some groovy music like nelly, james bown, black eyed peas.

    2. pick oe or two toms as home bass, and play many reps of the pattern, always hitting part # 2s 1st note on snare. This snare drum backbeat does a lot for the sound :0)
