not all people live where water will freeze over and not all ponds are out in the open where there are birds and raccoons and it says on year later so they must have survived at leas one winter

nice koi, but WAY to shallow for you to leave your fish in there tru the winter. It must be at least 125 cm deep!

Great Kois! They look real healthy and you have a super nice looking pond. If your worried about coverage you can always plant a mini cherry blossom next to the pond and let it hang over.
