Wow Ron, that was really such a great song!! Loved the lyrics and your guitar plating is so good too!! You have such a great sound and this song just flowed so beautifully too!! Really Nice!!
another superb creation Ron.man,i really love those chords you use, augmented or something heehee :) that one you finish the chorus on.whats this tuning ?you use it more than standard right? oh boy, what a great start to the year, keep flying higher bro! love G.
Really love this one, Ron. A very well-crafted song. I like the way the energy builds which kind of reminds me of Roy Orbison's style - one of my idols. I really enjoyed the listen. Like of your work, absolutely excellent.
@karlmahlmann Thanks Karl, and you know the Roy Orbison comparison comes up with me quite a bit so there must be some truth in the influence there. It is a great compliment, thanks. -Ron
Every new song here makes me want to hit the subscribe button all over again but I can't so have to tell you I want to instead. The first verse contains an expression of something in a relationship which I have experienced as well. Because you are older it sounds like you have been there many times before though so can describe it with the wisdom of autumnal knowledge which a younger person hasn't earned yet. It has a confidence to it which vulnerability cannot belie. Beautiful mate. Pete
I am not one of those who necessarily buys into the "with age comes wisdom" ideal.... quite often it is more like "with age comes callousness"... but then that does not apply to me at all so your observations ring very true I must admit. Great to have back on the Toob again Pete. I'll be talking to you. -Ron
Always loving your originals, Ron. You play and sing it so well and in a perfect quality, it's perfect. And often I think by hearing your music to those boys, who came from Liverpool in the 60ies. That makes me smile, but I like it, I was a fan.
@talesandtunes Thank you very much Michael, and yes the influence from "those boys" will always be with me... whether I like it or not haha. Thanks again. -Ron
Ron, I can't help but try to sing along with you. You have a style that draws me in everytime. No matter what I doing or what I'm thinking,I forget it once you start playing. Another fine piece of work Ron. Fantastic post!
@plowboyes Hey Winston, sorry for the late response. I've been a been under the weather lately but getting back to normal now. I am very proud of our dawg, he did right nicely :o) Talk again soon. -Ron
@CharmedQuarkZ99 Hi Richard. Thanks. Yea, the archtops are a different breed of guitar that is for sure. You have to approach them in a completely different way. Thanks again. -Ron
Popping back in this morning! So impressed with your guitar work on this one Ron!
You always think of the best lyrics too...wish it would rub off on me..LOL..Maybe the more I listen to your originals it will stick in at some point! Bravo on the singing as well! Ooooo:)))
@Cameragirl803 Hi again Jane. Oh, the weather has turned bad again down here, my goodness... but hearing from you lightens things up considerable. Have a great evening and I'll talk with you again very soon. -Ron
Very nice in every way, Ron. It's a really good one to start the year off. The lyrics sure fit the season in a positive way (winter can be such a downer sometimes).
@1catbob Hi Bob, thanks a lot. I really enjoyed your version of the Tom Waits song yesterday. I always like "The Heart Of Saturday Night" and it was nice to hear it on guitar. Talk again soon. -Ron
Absolutely wonderful guitar rhythm...as Chuck said...very clean. You have a wonderful way with words Ron...very poetic. I really enjoyed listening to this....a great way to start the new year.
@busywave Thanks Mark. That archtop is a different animal to say the least :o) it requires a whole new approach to get the best out of it. Talk again soon. -Ron
This is a wonderful song, Ron. The lyrics are magnificent and the music is complex and lovely. I enjoy your videos so much. Your solos, your collabs - all great! Please don't ever stop. Suze
Hi Ron, this is a wonderful song that you've written. Like the visual of the tree branches pointing in every direction, and the birds on a wire. Really great guitar work and like you said, it's very upbeat and a great start for a new year! Enjoyed this very much! 8o)
