DLR is a decent finger picking player on the acoustic. He may be able to play more than that but he has never shown it.

He played acoustic on a couple of Van Halen tunes, but not here. Ice Cream Man, Could This Be Magic? and The Full Bug I think are the extent of his guitar contributions to Van Halen.
