Basketball back then were more entertaining to watch and the pace of it were a lot faster. All these "fouls" are the reasons the game is not as entertaining as they were.

Funny thing... UK rolled UofL over in an uptempo style. Sorry, but you aren't making a lot of sense and Rex made the correct choice and went with the program and history over style points. UK is the much better choice when it comes to basketball, plain and simple.
