If this tutorial was in 3D, it would be even more awesome than it is already. I couldn't help blinking on the frequent occasions you suddenly push the fretboard towards the camera to helpfully illustrate the chords. I bet I would recoil off my seat if I saw it through 3D specs ;)
I get such a kick out of some of the idiotic comments by these butt-wipes who feel the need to point out the most ridiculous things. You play these songs beautifully, but some guy just has to point out "Hey dude, when you hit the hammer-on, you're actually playing a G 7th augmented diminished dominant suspended minor 7th. I'm not sure if Paul did it exactly that way."
Only thing is that the chord you said was a G major (5th fret D string, 4th fret G, open B and high E) in the part where the lyric is "her majesty's a pretty nice girl, someday i'm gonna make her mine" is actually a G minor6 OR G diminished shape..
Paul slides up to the 5th fret D string and strums the 3rd fret on G and 5th fret on B together.
Love all your lessons man, you should do more Paul McCartney finger picking songs. You are the only person who gives a good lesson on any of those songs.
Not really sure what happened to my original comment, but I wanted to say thanks. I bought my first guitar in July, and you've been a big help in learning some of my favourite tunes. I'll reply soon with a video of my own.
@Concertanti Hmm. Not sure what happened to your other comment, either. I may have accidentally hit Delete instead of Reply. Glad to hear you're making progress on your playing. I love seeing video responses, so feel free to post some. Every guitar player at every level can always learn (steal?) a lick or two from another player.
@privettricker There, I posted my video.. I think anyways, it isn't showing up or anything ahaha.. It's still pretty rough, but I think I'm making good progress... I don't have any instructors so please let me know what you think.
I really would like to thank you, Chris. What you do is extremely useful for all the guitar players around the world. Been watching your channel for a while, due to your lessons I figured out how to play "Mother Nature's Son", "Junk" and many other songs. Keep your stuff coming, it surely will be much appreciated. From Russia with love!
Nice job and excellent tutorial for those unfamiliar with pauls style. He reall doesn't switch it around all that much for most of his stuff and you catch that. Very well done. Nice guitar also!
Always wondered how that little slide G was done- thanks!! fun easy song

@kdizzzle123 Well, let's put it this way -- it's probably not the first song a guitar player should learn.
