@nicka01 so if you're saying that earth hour is not about saving energy then what's the whole point then??? you say that's about a symbol...but then again so are a million and one things in this world. a symbol is nothing without action. so a whole bunch of people sitting together with candles for one day of the year is really going to do something for our environment...oh gee. im not against saving energy....just wacko greenies who think holding hands is gonna save the world.

@nicka01 very fact is we can do all we like to save energy for one day of the year but exponential growth in population, the excessive need for more technology will undoublty bring us all down. it's funny how these same people who attend and participate in this earth hour come home the very next day to their large screen televisions and luxury polluting cars. yes that's right...earth hour has become a facade to make us feel better about ourselves even though it changes nothing.

The world's been heating up and cooling down constantly for billions of years, so why waste our time turning off the lights? Global Warming isn't real, it's just a natural process.
You call us uneducated (My mom, Roxmac63, graduated with a Magna Cum Laude as a Biologist, my dad making top 5% of all American salaries, me being a grade ahead in math and science, and my brother being recognized by Duke University; yes, really uneducated, lol) because you disagree, making you the fool here.

I don't deny the G.H. effect fully but I'm 99% sure it's not manmade. Speaking of which, according to research done by the University of Leeds, the Ozone hole over Antarctic is getting smaller. And yes, please give your view on the urgency of warming.
