You don't use "A" in that phrase. It is "Donde esta el bano?" When you want to ask where someone is going you use "A". "A donde vas?"

@SuperScaffolding Scaffolding это так же термин, используемый в образовании. :) он означает, что учитель помогает ученику выстроить схему выполнения того или иного задания, помочь разработать стратегию и тп. а я сначала не поняла, при чем здесь леса..
