The stock versions fly fine but BL offer extra power and you don't have to replace motors often as you do wiht the stock brushed motors. I am still flying with the same motor but I am easy on the flights so not to abuse the stock motors.
No offense Mario but mine flies just the same with No upgrades or mods, it is the first version from china. what happened to all your other micro helis? you should post some videos of them....
No ofense taken, it is hard to tell without having both the stock version and the version with my mod flying side by side. The stock product has some degre of stability but not auto-stabilization. You simply cannot get auto-stabilization with a flybar that is mounted 90 degrees to the main blades.
You may be able to setup the stock product to where it is very stable, but you will still need to work the controls in hovering, What auto-stabilization gives you that is not apparent in this video is a different more easier level of control, this is the gist of the mod here.
TO understand this better you almost have to try a helicopter with a flybar installed at the same angle as I have done in this mod. Recently there are two new RC helis on the market that incorporate similar setups. THe Quark and Kestrel 500SX. You might want to read about them in some of the RC Forums.
Thanks. Yes, an all aluminum head. I might sell it , have other Walkera 4#3 upgrades ahead of the head, though. Ayy other upgrades will be placed at MIA Micro-FLIGHT site.

Do you need a stronger motor to fly the 4#3 with the aluminium head?
CrazyManiacStan 3 years ago
No. The way I am flying it in the videos is with the stock motor, I am flying it with my own MIA wood blades.
