For those using xPadder on Windows 7 it does not work but all u have to do to use it on windows 7 is run it in compadability for windows XP service pack 3 and it will work fine.

I use this with a Logitech Dual action, I pirated the actual Xpadder program, and I don't bother with a drawing of the controller, I just place the buttons in a layout similar to the controller, and I utilize the entire space on the program... anyways... glad to see someone else doing it the same as I do..

@elitegiraffes But you can use controllers for mouse/keyboard actions for virtually anything including whatever games as long as the program is open, unless you need more keys or something, then you' might be screwed but a lot of games don't have very complicated keymaps to begin with.

windows 7 and i got it to work. Right click and go down to properties.. Then go to compatibility, then click "Run this program in compatibility mode" Then there should be a dropbox, go to Windows 2000 and start the program and use the compatibility setup lol :D

@FrosDOwnz Right click on the .exe Click on properties. Go to the compatability tab. check the box to use in compatability mode, and then choose windows vista in the dropdown box. Then try to open it. It should work now!

Basically.. it'll work for any type of input needed.

For emulators you just need to map the keys onto the keyboard and then map the buttons on the controller/input device for those keys.

Find an image of your controller/gamepad, set up the buttons and then change it to be used as a mouse.

All you do for the last bit is click the wrench icon near the axis. Make sure to set up your buttons and axis.

Oh search for a USB converter for PSX/N64 or you could just get a converter solely for PSX controllers, they'll allow stuff like vibration and pressure sensitivity.

Yeah dude I tried aiming with xpadder and it's impossible. Are these settings to improve gamepad aim? I fucked around with the deadzone settings and all that but it didn't help. Is there a way to make it so when push the stick a BIT to the left it moves the mouse slow and if I move it all the way left it makes the mouse move faster?

You can try messing with the mouse settings like sensitivity and acceleration. That might be what your talking about.

To everone who is asking, the software just tricks the computer into thinking whatever button you assign the controller, is being pressed. ex: You program "Start" on your PS2 controller to "ESC" on your computer keyboard, the computer just thinks you hit escape and it doesn't even know about the controller.

Your welcome! Rather instead of 'tricking' the computer what it does is emulate mouse movements, keystrokes and presses from input from the controller, all it does is simply convert the input to seem as if it is coming from your keyboard or mouse.

I can use my PS2 pad to play Runescape and pretty much most PC games (some are kinda difficult like Crysis :P)
